i remember coming across this book at my high school library around three years ago and unfortunately only got to read the first few pages before i had to leave

some details i remember about it:

- it's a novel about a family whose children have already went their separate ways, the mother and father are old

- it's set around christmas time, or at least begins at christmas

- the parents live in an old cabin by a lake/sea and one of them's got arthritis or something like that

- there's 3 or 4 children, but i can only remember two of them:

-> one of the daughters is a trucker

-> another child (i forgot the gender) works an office job in europe (i think the UK)
