Asking about the 1412

Hello, I just joined this community as my watch addiction is going again. I've been interested on getting myself a skmei 1412/1413 as it's a good model. I just have a couple of questions though:

  1. Is the 1412 still plagued with the date bug? (limited to 30 days and cannot access the 31st day in a month)

  2. Is the 50m water resistance trustable? Like maybe for swimming, but no diving (obviously).

Thanks in advance.

I've been using my A15-FA506NCQ, and I am thinking of upgrades.

In a nutshell, I wanna make this thing last a long time. A few upgrades I've been thinking of is another 8gb 4800mhz stick, changing the wifi card to ax210 after a while or when it dies, and also another nvme ssd.

Another upgrade that I've been meaning to ask here is the 90wh battery, is it compatible with my laptop? Its the model in the title, with the Ryzen 7 170 and RTX 3050 4gb. From local reviews, there is space in the laptop, and my region has the model without the 2.5" caddy

Thanks in advance.

I got accepted to college! Now about my laptop..

I got accepted to college just recently into computer engineering. I've been busy with the registrations, and I just got info on the minimum specs required.

After a lot of browsing and thinking, I'm now down on a few choices which are either buying a used RTX 2050/GTX 1650 laptop, or a Radeon 680m/760m laptop brand new (another question arises being which one is better, the 680 or the 760?)

An alternate and probably far-fetched choice is to get a used quadro laptop, but reliability wise, it seems pretty spotty.

Wish someone could help me out, I've asked in fesnuk and no one has replied at all 🥀 (oh and my budget is 8.2jt)

Edit: Here's the specs I got from asking a senior:

For a tight budget and a new laptop

  • Processor: Minimum 12th Gen Intel Core i3/10th-11th Gen Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 3 7000 Series/Ryzen 5 5000 Series

  • RAM: Minimum 8GB (16GB recommended)

  • Storage: 512GB recommended (256GB is a bit tight)

  • GPU: Most of the built-in GPUs on the processors above are sufficient; for laptops with optional optional GPUs
