What car criteria impact insurance costs for new young drivers?

18 year old male. Live in bogger-land. Recently passed test. We'll put in reg plates and get quotes, but in terms of search criteria, what impacts insurance? I know insurance is a dark art, with different insurers tweaking criteria differently but anyways...

Age: at what age do premiums creep up?
Engine size?
Brands? Are Kias preferred over Fords for example?
Manual vs automatic?
Doors? Colour? UK/NI Imports?
Anything else that might drive up premiums?

450x - cannot get new non-OEM batteries going - send help!

Hi guys - trying to save a few bucks! I'd love to get these new non-OEM batteries working in my 450x. I'm thinking I solder some resistors inline on the yellow cable, or I somehow crack open the old battery and try swap the BMS over to the new battery. Any one able to share any tips?
