Day 2 of my girlfriend’s facelift recovery — honestly doing better than expected

Day 2 of my girlfriend’s facelift recovery — honestly doing better than expected

Day 2 update after my girlfriend’s facelift ❤️

We spent SO much time reading other people’s recovery experiences before this, so we figured we’d share honestly how things have been going so far in case it helps someone else who’s nervous like we were.

So far, the swelling has definitely started kicking in a little more today (hello chipmunk cheeks 😅), but overall she’s honestly doing much better than either of us expected.

She had built this up in her mind for years thinking recovery was going to be absolutely awful, but her discomfort level has honestly stayed surprisingly low so far. Mostly just resting, rotating ice packs, eating small meals, and trying to stay patient with the process.

We know she’s still VERY early in recovery, but she’s already really glad she finally decided to do this after thinking about it for so long.

For those of you who’ve already gone through this:

My girlfriend is 65 and finally decided to go through with a facelift after thinking about it for years.

This was the video where my girlfriend first announced she was getting a facelift.

She’s 65 and spent months going back and forth on whether to actually do it. Before surgery we spent a ton of time searching for realistic recovery experiences from women around her age, which is part of why she decided to document it openly herself.

She honestly wasn’t expecting this many people to relate to it.

My girlfriend is 65 and decided to openly document her facelift recovery because we couldn’t find many realistic examples online.

My girlfriend is 65 and just had a facelift.

Before all this, we spent way too much time searching online trying to find realistic videos from women around her age because she wanted to know what the actual process looked like and honestly most of what we found either looked overly polished or felt like an ad.

This clip was right before surgery while the doctor was doing the markings on her face. I think this was the moment it really hit both of us that it was actually happening.

She decided to document the whole experience pretty openly because we figured there are probably a lot of other women quietly researching this stuff the same way we were.

Anyway, figured I’d share it here because seeing real people go through this helped her a lot beforehand.
