Is there a lear way to plot routes? My x450 wanders between zones and the base like a drunk toddler

Seriously, It's like it's doing a line dance if it sees a tree. The route from my base to most zones requires going through an area two cars can EASILY drive past each other in but with trees on both sides and it looks like it's trying to breakdance the whole 50' roll of doom?

My Roborock vacuum can run through my house from room to room, cutting corners and literally going under the couch as a shortcut and this thing can't find it's way between trees I can drive between?

Does the x450 do a damned thing at 4"?

I did my first cut at 4" just to see how it would go after mowing my acre with a riding mower. The few sprigs of taller grass that got missed by the riding are still there. I started a new mow at 2" and it appears to be doing a nice cut, but what is the point of 4" if it just pushes grass over instead of mowing it?

Convince me to buy something other than the Lymow for a ~1.5 acre lawn

I've been looking around a lot and am not willing to wait for some kickstarter to maybe get it together.

I have about 1.5 acres of grass, slight slope (like 5%), no major obstacles. I kinda don't care what it looks like, it's more "I want my neighbors that far away" than "look at my pretty grass". I have a chicken tractor I move around frequently, but I figure it'll just go around that.

Does this thing recognize a hose left out or will it try to mow right over it?

Anything else I should be concerned about? Any better options?

Edit: Love the opinions, please keep them up if you have a larger yard

Looking for a hinge that opens flush around a corner, details inside.

This image explains it better than text.

I am trying to deploy (drawbride style) a small stage from the side of a shipping container. It will have a lip to support against the side opening container, legs for the weight, and a winch to raise/lower as well as locking tabs when upright, the issue is simply the hinge mechanism. I'm seeing frog hinges as an inspiration, but they'd obviously need to be custom made to take the weight. Is there a better solution before I go down that road?

Total weight is going to be right around 800 lbs.
