Oh well...

Oh well...

Context: In 1519, Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés landed on the coast of Mexico with a small force. To stop his men from getting cold feet and sailing back to Cuba, he ordered the ships they arrived on to be burned (or scuttled). With no way home, the only option left was to push inland and conquer the Aztec Empire.

The "Capitalism needs constant growth" argument makes no sense.

Economic growth is desirable under any economical and political system because it allows higher standards of living and larger budget for country to do things (in every system). The fact that capitalism encourages growth does not, by itself, distinguish it from socialism or other economic systems, since virtually every modern government has pursued growth.
There can only be three states of economy, crisis, stagnation and growth. Explain to me what system would seek anything else than growth? And capitalism can survive in all of them, Japan has been stagnant for over three decades now, still maintains high standards of living, one of most stable countries on the planet.
All the communist countries tried to make economy grow, to various degree of success, what was industrialisation about?
Main reason Soviet Union collapsed was economic stagnation.

Don't use Correios (Brazil postal service)!

That institution is useless. I sent my wife a document, it's a permission to live in my country so we can close LDR. For some reason customs asked for 50 euros, so after paying that I hoped she will received it soon. They only have one job and they failed that completely. They lost the letter somehow. We waited almost two months and my wife kept calling them, waiting 4 hours to be connected, but after multiple complains we submitted, they replayed that it's lost. How pathetic and frustrating! If only I knew I would have paid 150 euros to UPS or Fedex, but I sent two letters last year and one of them arrived in 10 days another in 20 days.
