Curious Anyone have or seen higher then 443k on any baja?

Hey everyone, back again with a picture of the dash! My 2005 Subaru Baja officially just clocked 443,757 miles.I am genuinely curious if this is the highest-mileage Baja still on the road, or if anyone out there is running a close second.I want to know:Has anyone else crossed the 400k mark? Are you still on your original drivetrain and transmission?Did it take multiple engine swaps or rebuilds to get there?Drop your mileage, your drivetrain history, and your secrets to keeping these cars alive in the comments!

443,757 MILES! Just became the 3rd owner of this 2005 Subaru Baja Sport (Original Engine/Auto Trans). This is my 5th Subaru and 2nd Baja, and I’m keeping the legend alive.

Hey everyone,

I needed to share this milestone because I honestly think it might record. I bought this 2005 Sport model back in February of this year and it just officially crossed exactly 443,757 miles on the odometer.

The craziest part? It is still running on the completely original drivetrain and automatic transmission.

This is actually the fifth Subaru I’ve owned and my second Baja, so I knew exactly what I was looking at when I found it. I am only the third owner, and I’m determined to push this record even higher. Since taking ownership, I’ve been doing massive preventative maintenance to ensure it survives for a long time to come. Here is the breakdown:

Recent Heavy Maintenance: I immediately had the head gaskets redone, swapped out the water pump and timing belt, and fully serviced the transmission and differentials.

The Body: Amazingly, there is zero rust on the body panels.

The Subframe: It has some mild rust, but I already have a total subframe replacement lined up to make it structurally perfect.

Pushing this trucklet past 443,757 miles on the factory auto box feels unreal, but with proper love, it’s still driving great.

Side Note: I actually didn't realize how absurdly rare this milestone was until I took it into my local Subaru dealership for a recall service. The service advisors and techs were floored by the mileage on the original automatic transmission, which is what inspired me to see if this is a community record!

I’m dropping some photos of the odometer and the truck. Ask me anything about the recent overhaul, my previous Baja, or my plans to push this one past 450k!
