BMW records historic speeds - evidence used in court.
In this story from the UK, data downloaded from the on board computer on the BMW X3M "logged him breaking safe speed limits on no fewer than eight separate occasions across a 12-month period". Whilst event data recording for 30 seconds before a crash is registered is common on modern cars, a 12 month period of historic speed data recorded by the car is news to me. I can't seem to find anything directly from BMW regarding this, does anyone know more?
