Currently a pipeline hire for a federal office, getting a lot of calls from various programs and offices saying they’re interested and putting in a bid for me to work for them. Is this common, in pipeline positions? Do I have any real input on placement at all?
Just kind of looking for reassurance to keep at it, I suppose.
I’ve done nearly every SSRI, some SNRIs, low dose antipsychotics for depression, and both IV and oral ketamine. I metabolize medication too quickly for the most part, and high doses of most medications either impacts my messed up heart or makes me sleep too much. I’m trying TMS, going to each session with the mentality that it WILL help and things WILL get better, but I’m just tired. Part of me thinks that if this doesn’t work, nothing will, but at least I’ll have a track record to show I truly did try.
Do second rounds truly help? Does accelerated TMS meaningfully work on folks that didn’t have effects from an initial round? What’s left to try that isn’t this or ECT, really?
Planning to propose to my girlfriend late June/early July at an adults-only AI in the Cancun area, open to anything within an hour or so of the airport. We’ve done Excellence Playa Mujeres together and loved it. Great vibe, solid food, no real complaints. Food is our #1 priority, we’ll be in pools most of the time, and we want quiet luxury and not a party scene. Budget around $4,000-5000 all-in for the week.
The four I keep coming back to are Unico 2087, Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres, Hotel Mousai Cancun, and Impression Isla Mujeres. Unico seemingly wins on food going off of reviews but the dark tile pools running hot in July genuinely worries me — has anyone done Unico in summer specifically? Is it manageable or miserable? Excellence Coral is brand new and the EC Honeymoon Suite with private pool is perfect for a proposal, but I’ve seen mixed signals on whether the food is actually exceptional or just the same as EPM. Mousai caught my eye, modern design, every room has a private plunge pool, food reviews seem good, but theres not many reviews. Impression is the dream, but a bit out of price range, even deal hunting, so unless it’s truly exceptional in that range I’m not sure how I’d feel.
Open to anything I’m missing in this area and price range or a smidge above. Adults-only and genuinely good food are the priorities.
