Kinda seperate topic but I hate the energy around discussions of Sex reassignment surgery. It's always "mutilation" or some bullshit according to them. "Don't feel pressured to get it!" first of all, wasnt planning on it but second of all why the fuck is that any of your business you don't even know me?? i liked chicken lady because it was generally a pretty uplifting chill space but i didnt like how it sometimes felt like being observed as a zoo animal and also just cis people trying to speak for our experiences and also the anti diy sentiments there. i spent only around a week in r/4tran4 and i did really like how it felt more honest to the trans experience and was more hostile about cis bullshit and was an honest venting space but it also had a lot of stuff i strongly disagreed with and i can handle that but some of the shit just really stressed me out. this sub feels like a genuine perfect mix of both being very loving about being trans while also feeling like its made by trans people for trans people without allowing cis people to try and speak for us.. ily guys.. giga based..

I think we think too rigidly about the Complex. Still Lifes and Lifeforms are not a seperate entity / classification / species / whatever. They're just a product of how the backrooms works. I doubt every single still life is filled with cotton, it's just entirely contextual i feel. The Backrooms itself IS a still life of reality, and it feeds off its own data as seen in Static Dead End, so really anything goes. I feel like the whole zombie fungus colony thing is kinda stupid so here's my opinion on how it works.

Chances are, the Bacteria/Lifeform are a version of a body covered in really any sort of bacteria or fungus or whatever else that's just been replicated a couple times. FF2's car crash victim rotting away could have been copied into the lifeform we see chase it.

Also in Pitfalls, the room Marvin encounters the Lifeform / Not A Fucking Person / Marvin's Friend has visible mold growing in areas so this was likely another moist area where this shit could grow [or was copied from]

Did he like go out into the real world again to go take a shit and take care of daily needs or did he find a toilet / bring one or something like that into the backrooms? Im genuinely curious how this works because its all the small details you dont think about 🤔🤔🤔

If he does it in the real world then there comes the risk of not making it in time [having to wander all the way back and stuff]

If he does it in the backrooms then... I guess man. I feel like backrooms plumbing would be all fucked up and I wouldn't trust a backrooms toilet

Still Life is, a copy of something that exists, by definition as an art form. But I kinda wanna take the "still" part literally.

I feel like the backrooms can only copy things that aren't moving near those null zones. Clark was often in his store, in the movie as we saw drinking while in bed. The Complex had more time to read this version of clark, since he was STILL and not moving around to disrupt its sort of copying process, and therefore it was more accurate, existed in the first place, but also sort of represented drunk clark.

Mary, when she got copied, was also sitting still in a chair.

Obviously buildings don't move so those would be very present, as is the nature of the entire complex itself.

Archibald Leland Sutter Still Life is.. somebody in a wheelchair. Could have possibly been next to the lamp by lets say, turning off his lamp to go to sleep, but the complex also had more time to copy him since he was not moving a lot?

I feel like Lifeforms are the complex copying itself. When an AI program copies itself, or really anything feeds off itself, it tends to be wildly innacurate. Since that body of what is assumed to be Nicolas Bolton is something from Standard being inside of the Complex, it still could be possible to copy [or just near a null zone?] since its dead and not moving.

Complex might have been copying Hay Bacillus from this body after the bacteria escaped the decomposing body, which explains its wild mutations. Maybe the Lifeform is an attempted still life of these dead bodies, but highly fucked up because the complex feeding on itself to produce an outcome would probably make something wildly unstable?

This is kinda just my unorganized thoughts but lmk what you think heh
