I am in advanced physical assessment. This professor has been the worse one I’ve had by far. She simply just does not teach, for her live lectures she throws on a couple youtube videos. She does not add any comments to them, just rolls them on and calls it day. I have had professors show youtube videos during lecture and didn’t mind, but they also actually taught and would have content on powerpoint slides.

This professor has powerpoint slides, but it is just a couple links of youtube videos. Is this typical???? I just took my midterm, and I did acceptable but I studied extremely hard for it because I literally did not know what would be on there. There are textbook chapters assigned so I used those to base my knowledge but it is very broad, and somehow the midterm contained questions that were not even in the textbook. No study guide of course. To be fair, professors don’t actually know what questions are on the exams, but I still expect something.. anything. Cause a couple links to youtube vids for lecture out of several topics in the textbook is not it. I did not have an issue with my previous patho and pharm class. Is this worth escalating or just pick my battles and try to make it through this class?

I drive a FWD and the tires in the back are old and need to be replaced. Front tires are newer, but been driving on for a year now. I’ve bought two new tires to replace the old ones (I had to order them myself because no tire place could order my specific tire) and just looking for a place to put them on for me! The only thing is that I’d like to have the current front set of my tires placed in the back so I can put the new ones in front. I called Gerry’s already but they are booked until after labor day and charging $80. Anyone know a place that is affordable? I also called NTB and said they charge $45 to change/move EACH tire. I’ve tried Matt’s Tire Shop as well in the past and they were okay. Wondering if anyone has other recommendations!

title!!! What places serve a solid soft shell crab? Can be a sandwich or something else. I know about Ekiben, I’ve had their softies last year and they are incredible. A little too pricey this year though! Doesn’t even have to be in Baltimore, can be in the surrounding area. Please send recs!

I got an offer at LTC facility where I’d mostly be on their ventilator unit. I have never worked with vent patients before, the most I’ve done is trachs and suctioning, however these are residents that are stable. Some people do get better and get weaned off, but most don’t. Anyone work on these kind of units before and can shed a light of what I’m getting into? I imagine it can be depressing but I’m more worried about the acuity even though they are stable.
