I’m (29F) bored of all my professional clothes and want to go on a shopping spree for my next board meeting. What do you all usually wear?

I have two days of board level meetings, the actual board meeting is business professional and the day before is committee stuff that’s business casual and we’re given the dress code of “leave the tie off,“ which is not helpful to me as a lady and the two female trustees we have.

I was younger when I started at this company so I have always dressed up a little extra. Plus it’s all men so I try to dress at a level to be taken seriously.

I have the suit part covered but the more business casual is harder since I dress up more than I would at work, usually a blouse and a more casual skirt but skip the jacket.

Looking for ideas of clothes that you feel comfortable, confident and serious in!

Hi all! I am working on a build for my 2016 Subaru Forester but on my last camping trip got stuck in the rain and had to DIY some trashbags to keep the rain out while keeping my windows cracked (airflow was a must), and got a bit soggy cooking dinner under my open trunk.

Looking for best recommendations on window rain guards for open windows, as well as tailgate tents/awnings/rain flys for the back to keep some rain off.
I see a lot of weathertech options for rain guards, has anyone used a cheaper option and found it decent? or just worth the price.

For any tailgate tent/awning recommendations, do these actually work? Or does the rain just blow in on the sides? Cooking on propane stove so hesitant to rely on rolling down some sides and decreasing ventilation.

For full context I'm a hardcore drugstore makeup user and never used to have this problem until I tried the loreal extensionist mascara, and always had racoon eyes.

So of course I switched back to my trusty clinque mascara that I've used for years and never had issues with. I still have racoon eyes. I thought it was maybe my concealer or the under eye brightener I've been using, but it doesn't seem to make a difference if I use it or not or between various brands. Even the same TrueMatch concealer I've always used has the issue.

So I thought perhaps it was my setting spray as I used to be a hardcore Urban Decay girl, but used NYX for ages without having the issue, but now I get this with NYX too. But I also get it if I don't use setting spray.

Help! Is everything just made cheap now or any recs on setting spray or mascara that doesn't end up under my eyes?

Hey all, I'm in a weird situation where I am being asked to take some prospective new hires out for coffee to "informally" interview them. This was orchestrated by my HR and chief administrator. I don't know the candidates, they've already been screened and met by the the rest. This is a basic admin assistant position.

I'm the only EA, have never interviewed someone in 3+ years at this company, have very little to do with this position other than both of us being classified as admin. I have not been involved in any hiring process before. My exec has nothing to do with this either ofc.

Is this a normal request? I've never heard of it set up like this. Perhaps informally if I knew the person through a mutual friend or former colleague, or they reached out to me. This feels extremely uncomfortable to do to me.

Hoping to get advice on the best way to go about this and test the temperature of how normal this is. Is this something other EAs deal with?

live only been a Killers fan since 2022 but I’ve always gotten the sense that Battle Born wasn’t well received (although I think many people in this sub are fans but this is for the big killers fans!)

Ive been binge listening to it a lot lately in album order and im struck by how good it is. ige even been obsessed with the deluxe tracts. The lyrics are great, the sound is great, it’s quintessential Killers to me.

So do people actually dislike this album and why? Was it just a departure from the Hot Fuss sound, although it was the third album that left that sound?

Hey all, i'm the EA for the CEO of our company and the only EA. We have a small Admin team I'm also part of. Our old CAO retired, and a director was raised up to replace him.

The new CAO has started asking me to have a weekly 1:1 check in meeting, which is okay as we often have things to discuss related to the board, governance, company wide things and the admin things I do too. But she has the clunkiest agenda she wants me to fill out with my weekly priorities (which are always assist the CEO!) that works much better for someone who's directly reporting to her. In the actual meetings, we don't touch on these at all and she never addresses them.

Does anyone else have meetings with a manager/supervisor that isn't their exec, and do you have some sort of agenda system that works well? I'd like to suggest something else when I tell her I don't want to use her agenda system anymore.

I did my job just fine for 3 years with no check ins or weekly meetings, so I'm a little annoyed, and someone else ran afoul of her by not respecting her agenda system, so I'm a little wary.
