Pickpocketing often is way harder than the numbers would suggest
My friend is the rogue thief of the group. In another playthrough another friend had the same issue. An item reports DC 11, the rogue thief has a lot of bonuses to sleight of hand checks with high dexterity. Yet it often takes 5 tries or more to steal something. That one time was especially ridiculous when a friend had to roll ~10 times to steal a DC 11 item.
Does it work in the way that the displayed DC is the number with bonuses already substracted from the DC?
To put it differently: If the DC is 11 and a character has a bonus of +9 is the target that has to be rolled 11 or 2?
Or are we missing something else?
