ELZ_1 Play Looper troubles...

I am finally getting the hang of using the looper but I often have glitches where a tone will cut off sharply at the end or the beginning which messes up the playback. Is there a setting I need to change as I am not understanding how to get smooth loops. I was so frustrated with the ELZ but now that I have learned some of the ways to use it, I am even creating my own patches but the looper issue has me wondering what I am doing wrong. I am doing this DAW-less....

Portable dawless setup ?

I am going to pair the Sonicware ELZ_1 Play with the Hologram Microcosm...I am new to all of this and need help with how to safely connect it all up. I assume there is not a way to hear sound from the ELZ speakers once the Microcosm is connected? So I would also need a way to add headphones...I know there is not a headphone jack on the Microcosm (why not?)....I want to be able to have this portable so also need to know which power banks would safely work. I don't want to brick my gear. Is a simple headphone amp running out of the Microcosm enough to run Grado headphones?

ELZ_1 Play and Microcosm?

Anyone use the two together? is it possible to get sound from the ELZ speakers with the microcosm processing it? I asked an AI program and it said a cable could be on the microcosm that would enable headphone use but I have had AI be wrong many times so wanted to ask real users. I would love to have the two devices totally portable and dawless…can the microcosm be run on a powerbank? I don’t want to add a mixer at the end…trying to keep a small portable set up to toss in a backpack or grab quickly to play on the couch.

Rather silly question bout astrolab 37.

I got one, I updated the firmware to 1.7…I see nothing anywhere related to Pigments. I thought this came with Pigments on board? Was it something separate that needs to be loaded on to the 37?

ELZ_1 Play….still deciding.

I have the box and have not spent a ton of time with it but I am unsure if it is what I was hoping for. It is my first synth and I just find most of the presets simply awful… very digital sounding bleeps and bits. I did not expect to only find less than 10 presets that sound melodic, the rest to me are just awful. I did not plan to have to tweak almost every preset to get a beautiful sound… many sounds are detuned….the only person who I have seen able to extract beautiful melodic sounds out of the ELZ, is Nicafelt. Anyone have any tracks they made that are not just blips and bleeps like most of the demos on YT? Convince me this box should stay…I am a piano based player so I am biased. My goal was to combine my ELZ with the Yamaha reface cp to get nice piano with strings/pads from the ELZ….the midi cables come tmrw so maybe I will have a breakthrough in the combo.

Update: spent some time the past week learning the ins and outs of the ELZ…had to let go of the idea I have pretty sounds easily. I made some! I learned how to use the looper and have created some beautiful layered loops that I love… very melodic, swelling pads, lead pattern. Keeping this and a almost complete reversal on saying it can’t make anything pretty…I just needed to stop being lazy!

Polypodium leucotomos

Has this ever been looked at by ND....I want a Natrium skin stack!

"Polypodium leucotomos (often referred to as PLE) is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory extract derived from a tropical Central and South American fern. It is widely used in dermatology as an oral supplement to boost the skin's resistance to UV-induced damage, sunburn, and hyperpigmentation. [1, 2]

Another Cycloastragenol vs Astragaloside

I have read through all the posts but I am still left not really knowing which I should try. I am leaning toward Astragaloside IV due to its skin effects but is there a reason I should not be considering Cycloastragenol instead. Of course liking both for longevity, immune effects etc. I just had my first skin cancer removed and want to do anything to help my skin not make more...I know it has ALOT to do with past sun exposure but anything I can do to try to stop that Hedgehog Pathway excessive over-stimulation which is why the majority of BCC form. My other Hedgehog Pathway post was removed for some reason.

...what I am already taking for skin: Injuv, White Jelly, Gotu Kola daily Chaga, Poria and Black hoof a few times per week....will be starting Naicinamide 500mg 2 x day per derm recomendations.

Hedgehog signaling pathway.

wondering if anyone has attempted to inhibit or down-regulate the hedgehog pathway in relation to skin cancer (I just love the name). I just had my first mohs procedure a week ago to remove a basal cell carcinoma which generally in over 85% of basal cell carcinomas (BCCs), aberrant genetic mutations over-stimulate this pathway, causing cells to multiply uncontrollably and form tumors. I was fortunate it was on my scalp and only one pass so it all went very well and I won’t have a bald spot (fyi, basal cell is no joke…they tell you it is the best skin cancer to have BUT, it can cause severe disfigurement upon removal)…any other compounds or supplements that inhibit Hh pathway? I would like to prevent more, plan to start Thorne Niacinamide as that is a current use in dermatology to attempt to prevent future BCC.

Natural and Botanical Compounds

  • Curcumin: The active compound in turmeric naturally suppresses Hedgehog signaling, helping block the activation of downstream pathway targets like the Gli proteins. [12]
  • EGCG (Epigallocatechin 3-gallate): Found in green tea, this powerful polyphenol has been shown to successfully downregulate Gli activity and inhibit the signaling cascade. [1234]
  • Resveratrol: A stilbenoid found in grapes and berries, it mimics the effects of Hedgehog antagonists in laboratory settings. [12]
  • Berberine: A natural alkaloid compound derived from plants like goldenseal and barberry, it has been shown to suppress Hedgehog pathway activity. [123]
  • Ipriflavone: A synthetic isoflavone (often sold as a bone-health supplement) that has demonstrated significant efficiency in blocking Hedgehog signaling in human and mouse cells

I currently take; curcumin, Resveritrol and berberine…none consistently though.

Wondering if Gotu Kola is in enteric capsules yet? I would assume the fact that the 180 count is out of stock that might mean it is finally happening? I am almost out and went to order hoping for the change. The last time I see this talked about was 6 months ago, with an estimate of 8 months before the current acid resistant cap supply runs out….
