I sold my sigma 150-600 and purchased this 200-800. The reach has been fantastic. And the detail is consistently amazing and sharp. This is by far my favorite, most used lens in the collection.

First off, there’s no way Whites can fix/rebuild these with holes in the upper, right? I’m assuming they just need to be retired.

I’ve been looking at building out some custom Nicks. How does the sizing compare with Whites? 8.5D fits perfectly in my smokejumpers. Any advice on lasts? I believe my SJs are the 4811. Looks like I’d get a 55 in Nicks?

Any other options I’m missing? The Whites Stockman looks interesting but a little plain. I also love the 355 Cutter but I only see it in a green rough out leather.

Any help would be appreciated. I haven’t had to boot shop in a decade. Thanks!
