I’ll start off by saying I am a large dude, about 6’ 4”and 275lbs. I’m shopping for my next kayak, this will be my third. First was an inflatable, not great obviously. Second was a pedal drive 10 foot hoodoo kayak, but I found it to be incredibly tippy and standing up on it was super sketchy for me. Now I’m looking for a non pedal drive, standard paddle yak in the 12 foot range. After much research I’m thinking I’ll either go with the old town sportsman 120 pro or I’m also super interested in the new feelfree superfish 108. My primary concern is stability and comfort. Ability to stand and fish is huge for me. I’m also open to any other ideas that may be just as stable and comfortable for my size. Let me know your opinions!
