This is the photo used in a story about an 18-year-old who had this in his truck at a school in North Carolina.

But I assume it is a double stack, by looking at the magazine. But what doesn't make sense is that the short grip looks like it would be a 26, but that looks like a factory rail.

So is that a G19 and the proportions just to look off because of the magazine?

Deep Ellum shut down after security officer killed, 5 others wounded in pair of overnight shootings.

A pair of shootings unfolded just hours apart and within a block of each other overnight in Dallas' Deep Ellum neighborhood, according to officers on the scene. One shooting ended up claiming the life of a security officer.

Dallas Police told CBS News Texas at the scene that both shootings happened late Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning. The first shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday near Main Street and North Malcolm X Boulevard.

Officers said a man pulled out a gun and shot five people. Those victims, police said, faced non-life-threatening injuries and are expected to be okay. However, officers noted the suspect is not in custody as of publication and remains unidentified.

The second shooting, police said, happened about two hours later and around the corner along Elm Street near North Crowdus Street. Officers said someone shot and killed a security officer, and that the suspect was found and arrested.

The department later identified the security officer as 26-year-old Joseph Gray. He was taken to a hospital by private vehicle, where he later died. The suspect was also identified as 23-year-old Detorius Tarver. Tarver was taken into custody at the scene and is now charged with murder.

Officers said Gray was trying to break up a fight when Tarver opened fire.

Dallas Police then said officers shut down Deep Ellum after the second shooting.

As of publication, details about what led up to both shootings were not clear.

DPS Troopers Recover Stolen Security Vehicle

Earlier this week, Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Capitol Region Troopers successfully located a stolen security vehicle in northeast Austin. The suspect refused to bring the vehicle to a stop after a trooper activated his emergency equipment.

Troopers executed a Precision Immobilization Technique (PIT) maneuver, safely bringing the pursuit to an end and taking the suspect into custody.

The suspect is now facing multiple charges, including:

Evading Arrest in a Vehicle (Felony)

Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle (Felony)

Driving While License Invalid with Previous Conviction (Misdemeanor)

Unauthorized Use of Flashing Lights (Misdemeanor)
