Espeon's Pokédex color is Purple and not Pink. Umbreon is black in the Pokédex color. Espeon is also known to be a representation of the sun, and most sun gods are known to be male. Umbreon however is a representation of the moon, which is more known to have female gods. To prove their point, the male Eevee's tail pattern is more jagged, like a lotus flower, which is more representing the sun, meanwhile the female Eevee's tail looks more like a Moonflower, which is known to bloom during moonlight hours, and if that's not enough, the jagged pattern on the male Eevee's tail looks like an actual sun.
