I know this sub hates gun rights, but this is how republicans keep rural whites folks on board despite all the bad stuff.

Until the pro-democracy movement protects all rights they’re gonna keep taking massive losses.

The Bulwark and its fans are missing out on a very simple way to win. You’re going to almost completely lose the ability to regulate guns in the next Supreme Court session, so embrace them.

Turn the tables. Win instead of losing.

Been finding a lot of non-right wing subs won’t let you post anything made with AI. I can’t draw worth shit so having AI turn an idea into a meme is something I adore.

But if you can’t share it. Then it’s locked away and ineffective. Meanwhile the right pushes copious amounts of AI and gets traction. Reminds me of how we lost the podcast wars too.

I know the majority in this sub never want to hear about guns, unless it’s to hear they were disappeared. But it’s a huge issue and it’s why the Dems keep losing rural white voters.

Not only that but in light of ICE and fascism lots of liberals and LGBTQ and POC arming up.

I have never seen such unity against the old way than with Platner. The latest attempt by a democratic insider to end his campaign has been pretty savagely beaten back by democratic voters. In fact he’s probably gained some.

This moment reminds me when politics broke on the Republican side. They were mortified that they lost to Obama. They hated that their politicians were nice to him (McCain). They hated that the Dems were implementing scary socialism and they broke.

They started seeking people who their own party hated. They wanted loud mouths who weren’t nice and got snarky mean news bites like Palin did.

The left and most Dems are sick and tired of weak Dems. Trump should have been prosecuted day one for the insurrection. Instead we pussy footed around until time ran out?

Schumer writes letters. To that Epstein guy?

Shits so expensive.

So yeah, Platner ain’t great but he sure makes Dems and republicans equally mad and he’s mad about the same shit I am.

He’s mad at the wealthy for rigging it. He wants the same healthcare I do.

He isn’t talking about banning guns during a fascist uprising in our streets where they hunt us down.

And GNewsome, Polis, Spanburger and all those others have misread the moment. We want that rawness. That break from the old way. And so maybe we get a party that’s ready to fight the actual battle. Not the one that hangs out at baseball games with some of the most vile folks on the other side.

I’d love to see working together. But we’re well past that right now. And they started it.

DISCLAIMER: yes I know the TEA party was mostly Astro turfed /racism by the wealthy to end Obama and keep taxes on the rich low and yes they didn’t mean it. But the movement tapped something real and it did forever keep the Republican Party from returning to normal.
