Got my wedding dress for free!

Got my wedding dress for free!

Very excited to share the start of my dress! I participated in an event called Operation Wedding Gown. I’m happy to share more info with you if you’re interested in learning more. Walked out of a bridal shop with a $2000 dress and payed $0! It’s not perfect, it’s not my dream dress, but I fell in love with the body of it and it’s currently with a seamstress to make our own sleeves and eventually add some lace appliqué accents to it.

I want to share that every July and November this opportunity pops up, and I learned about it from my maid of honor. So anyone who is or who’s fiance is a veteran or first responder, you could get a free wedding dress next month! I got the OK from a moderator to share the link rather than explain the registration and rules: https://www.bridesacrossamerica.com/events/registration/register

I want to make sure anyone who qualifies for this at least knows about it and has the option of participating or sharing:)

Free wedding dress event for veterans, first responders and their partners!

Last November I got a $2000 wedding dress for free in San Diego through this event.

Every July and November, Brides Across America pairs with some bridal shops around the country to host a week long event to give Veterans, Firefighters, EMT, Paramedics, and Law Enforcement Officers a free wedding dress, AND that extends to their fiancé. So if your future wifey or hubby is in these fields, this applies to you too!

You have to prove eligibility through Brides Across America, pay a tax deductible donation, then register with a shop of your choice from their list and schedule an appointment with them. They’ll further ask for eligibility, but it was very easy and simple.

I hope this helps some of you guys out next month or later this year! The dress I found wasn’t perfect, but the body of it was, so I got to find something beautiful and comfortable and make it into my dream dress, which is not something I ever thought I would say😂
