Hi All,

As the title says, i will be buying a gaming laptop soon and it will be most likely a Lenovo Legion Pro 5 with a RTX 5070Ti GPU.

My experience with Linux is extensive, but gaming on Linux is relatively new for me. Are there any hardware compatibility concerns i should be aware of? Lenovo allows for some swapping of components (e.g. AMD vs Intel CPU) so I would love to know what you guys think about this.

I'm planning on buying a gaming laptop and I'm honestly a bit overwhelmed with the enormous amount of choice.

Country: NL

Budget: +/- 2500 Euro

Use case: general gaming, at least 50% PCVR

OS: as much as possible Linux, dualboot with Windows when necessary

After some reading i am thinking of the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 with RTX 5070 Ti. I can find this one at lenovo.nl for about 2500 euro.

Do you guys have any input? Is this a solid choice? anything i need to be aware of?
