The last time I shot medium format was over 40 years ago (RB67). Now I find I have a renewed interest. I am considering the X2D II 100C and XCD 35-100mm as a starting kit. My initial focus will be landscapes.

I don't know what I don't know. My current workflow is with Canon, an R1 and R5 II. I use Lightroom Classic for 95% of my post work and only dabble in PS occasionally. Is there anything I have to know about taking a raw file from the XCD and editing it directly with LR?

Other than a spare battery (I have CF Express type B cards already) what are the 'have to haves' to go with the camera.

Four years ago we moved. At the old house I had 14 cameras in the woods to video the various creatures that wandered through. Now I want to do a similar setup in our new house. We are also tucked into the woods and there is plenty of wildlife around (a bear scared the crap out of me several month ago!).

What I would like to do this time is have BI communicate with an Arduino when a camera senses motion. The id of the camera would have to be passed to the Arduino so it would know how to react. I'm thinking over the lan as all my cameras will be wired and tied into a vlan.

Never having tried this before, I'm looking for suggestions where to start.

I am starting to plan for our winter trip to Florida. Last year, for our return, I had to UPS a large box of clothes that wouldn't fit. $300 down the drain. So I'm thinking of a Thule cargo box. Anyone have experience using one on the GV70? Mine is a 2026, if that makes any difference. One of my concerns is the 'shark fin' antenna. Obviously the box must clear it. I would also like to keep the weight of the box around 45lbs so it will be in the range of possibility for me to put it on alone.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
