Hello all!

I'm just now reading and learning about all this. I'm now an old man with a little girl and I want to give her some of the same experiences I had growing up.

So I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about all of this. If my understanding is correct, for a flash cart, I'd also have to load it with software/OS for it to run? (I'm thinking GBA SP if I can find one for her). Seems like the older gba sp's wouldn't need modding they should just read it? But I'm having trouble finding what to load onto these flash carts?

I've seen the common/recommended brands. Do these have their own software preinstalled or something? is that why I'm not finding gba recommendations there? Do I only need to worry about loading the flashcart with roms if I just go with a gba sp?

And then, less flashcart related question, looking for a gba sp seems really sketchy, hit and miss. I see refurbished ones on aliexpress and ebay. I'll check out all the local pawn shops soon. What is the most reliable way to get the best condition gba in my hands? Is it possible, or even feasible, to build one with parts? Then I'd have to load the gba OS on it right? Is that floating around on the internet somewhere?

Don't know how many times I reported the racist chat, but when the automated "we investigated and found they did nothing wrong" responses started rolling in, I'm out.

The chat was like this the entire day. Absolutely nothing justifies the level of racism, homophobia, and white supremacy remarks that flooded the game. Not that it's a demo, not a lack of foresight. Moderators and community managers were dm'd directly on discord too, with no response other than "create a support ticket"

Edit: A LOT of comments about what *I* should do. Ignore it. Move on. Cry less, etc. etc.

I challenge you to stop thinking about me. Lotta weird fantasies going on there. Think about YOU.

Do you want to see this? Do you agree with this? Check box, yes or no. Simple as. If you don't show your solidarity or outrage than you are simply excusing or justifying this behavior. Stop the mental gymnastics. Simplify it for yourself. Yes or no. You can push for devs to do something, or you can be complicit in your silence.
