I don't tend to do meal deals...

I don't tend to do meal deals...

But I'm starving and the prospect of toast wasn't doing it for me today! My trouble is I don't really like the mains that much, but this one is ok!

(I got chocolate instead of crisps because there's usually some crisps on the canteen, but all there are today is barbecue pop chips which aren't that appealing to me either tbh!)

Toddler and stickers...an easy way to do it

I'd bet a lot of you already know this, but if you don't and you're always having to help your toddler peel stickers off the page, do yourself a favour and peel the backing bit off. It makes it sooo much easier for little hands to peel the stickers off the page and *maybe* you'll be able to have a cup of tea whilst occasionally going 'wow, Jemima puddleduck, where's she going?'

Potty training boys, some questions...!

We're about a week in and it's going ok, but I do have some questions. The first being about standing up wild wees. There's been a couple of occasions when we've been out for a walk when he's said he needed a wee. Everyone has said that at least with boys it's easy if you're out with no potty, they can just go standing up but...how?! It looks like it'll just go all over his trousers and pants? My husband reckons that once he starts weeing, it'll naturally sort of spray forwards (is that the right term, lol, I dunno) but I'm not convinced, so I thought I'd ask some experienced people!

Secondly, and this isn't boy specific, wiping bums after a poo. I haven't quite got the hang of doing it standing up. I keep having to lie him down to make sure I've got everything properly. I have done it before potty training, in a pinch (like recently in Egypt where there were no changing facilities and no way was I going to lie him on the floor!) but used a *lot* of wipes on the process. Is there some method I'm missing?

Mine is my hot water bottle. I can't say exactly how old it is, but it was made in West Germany.

(Yes, I know I need a new one. Yes, I know it could break and I could get burned. But i have faith in my old friend. Nevertheless, only I use it, I'd *never* let my child use it, just in case!)

'That baby was purple from head to toe'

Except its legs, including its toes, which are yellow.

I'm sorry, but this bugs me every time I read it.

We're currently on holiday with our nearly 3 year old. Apparently there are mini discos at 8.30, we've yet to see them because our son is usually getting ready to go to sleep around that time. Yet I've seen *loads* of kids still running around at that time, older than him, younger than him...I dunno how the parents are doing it! We'd love to have taken him to some entertainment, but 8.30 seems so damn late!!

We're in Egypt, so two hours ahead.

ETA - oh yeah, I forgot naps were a thing 🙈 My son just isn't into them anymore! No matter how many times we've got him to just chill,.maybe take him for a walk in the buggy...nope! Naps are for the weak! (My husband and I on the other hand, would love a nap!)
