Hi fragrances lovers,

I, like many others are growing EXTREMELY worried for Jeremy.

I am not here to speculate what he is currently going through, but I would really like to get the community together to try and help him. I just don't know how. Maybe, it starts with so sending him comments as he is being inundated with hundreds of abusive comments across his socials.

He is the reason I took an interest to fragrances and brought me so much joy with exploring new scents.

I am besides myself just seeing him go through whatever it is he's battling

After seeing Marwa Extrait teased a few weeks back I was very happy to see it finally released in Australia.

My first batch gold cap bottle of Hersh 2 has been my absolute favourite budget imagination style fragrance for the past few months and has seen plenty of wear. Instead of risking being disappointed by the new white cap bottle of Hersh I decided to give Marwa Extrait a go. (Note, I have also previously owned a bottle of Marwa EdP and still have a sample vial to compare the extrait to.)

This is what I can confirm right out of the box. Sitting alongside Hersh 2 Marwa Extrait does carry the same potency and presence from the initial spray. Hersh 2 is ramped up on the citrus where as Marwa Extrait takes the original fresh spicy soapy Marwa DNA and balances it out. It’s indeed more fresh spicy and soapy compared to Hersh which again leans a lot more citric for the first few hours. Both tend to dry down within the same ballpark with small differences.

Comparing to Marwa EdP. I’ll start by saying my turn off from the original Marwa EdP is this citron and tea overdose in the opening. On my skin I just didn’t like how funky and herbal it smelled. Which was the same problem I had with Ibraq French Tobaccos green accord. Marwa Extrait fortunately balances these flaws out. It indeed feels a lot more refined. Quality wise I also do see an uplift, the materials used are indeed more cleaner than the Marwa EdP which still is a great fragrance.

Overall performance has improved over Marwa EdP and at this point in time exceeds Hersh 2. So far I am impressed and happy until I can be assed going to LV, sampling everything and deciding whether or not I wish to buy an original bottle.
