My little daughter got a 15 ml official rollon sample as a gift from her granny of this fragrance called Givenchy Linterdit Rouge EDP few days ago.
Before going to bed one night she applied 2 swirls of the roll- on on my wife's clothes just for fun.
Then it started as if a "red" genie has been unleashed from a bottle and soon enough within just few minutes the entire bedroom got filled with the scent of blood orange and ginger after which came tuberose (same as that in 1 million parfum) jasmine and creamy heavy sandalwood and spread to every part of the room under the effect of the AC.
My god it was so deep and intense and so ever lasting that me and my wife just couldn't sleep after that.
We became wide awake and kept struggling to fall asleep.
She actually had to change her night dress and hang it inside the bathroom, only then could we get some sleep but some remnant of the fragrance was definitely still there in the bedroom till morning.
That the bathroom smelled like a heavenly garden in the morning is a different story altogether.
So ladies if you are wondering if there are still some perfumes which can beat the Mumbai heat, then do try this one. It lasts forever and is really really rich and smooth, elegant and mysterious.
But beware DONT BLIND BUY as its equally cloying and almost gave me a headache as it was already bedtime and this spicy warm sweet scent immediately refreshed the olfactory senses when we were not prepared for it and we actually gasped at its nuclear potency which became cloying in our bedroom.
Before we could even reprimand her for the little trick she played, my daughter had quietly sneaked out to her room long ago.
My wife has sworn not to wear this until proper winter season is here and I told her dont even dare apply it unless we are going out somewhere.
This is NOT for confined spaces.
There is another similar potent scent called Si from Armani.
That review we will keep for another day.

saw this on depop for $100 AUD which seems a bit suss but idk if it’s a fake or not lol can someone please let me know
Decided to go for it and get myself my top wishlist fragrance for my white coat ceremony in September. This cost a ton but it’s one of my all time favorites and it’s perfect for my special day! I thought I was going to go with another scent (Cirque du Soleil L’eau) but I just decided it was time to go for it. So thrilled with this choice! 🥰
Note: There are so many fakes out there so do your due diligence if you decide to get one. I got a fake before so don’t get burned!
Weekly post: Out of all the perfumes you wore this week, which one stood out and just made everything a little better?
I think Narciso Rodriguez For Her for me. Every time I spray it, I remember why I liked it so much in the first place. The soft musk is what keeps pulling me back. It's clean without smelling like soap, and the floral notes never feel overly sweet or powdery to me. Everything blends together in a way that just feels balanced. I've worn plenty of perfumes that started feeling repetitive after a while, but this one still feels interesting every time I come back to it. I've taken breaks from it, explored other fragrances, and somehow I always end up reaching for this one again. It has become one of those perfumes that never really leaves my rotation. What's the one perfume you fall in love with again every time you wear it?

💭 How it makes you feel
It all started back in 2018.
I've always been interested in fragrances, but back then, my idea of a "perfume" was limited to deodorants and cheap perfumes. I genuinely thought that was all there was. Looking back, some of those fragrances smelled decent to me, but they probably gave everyone around me a headache.
Then one day, out of pure curiosity, I decided to visit a local attar shop. I didn't have any expectations—I just wanted to see what attars were all about.
The shopkeeper patiently introduced me to several attars, letting me smell each one. Then he handed me White Oud.
The moment I smelled it, something changed.
At that time, I knew nothing about fragrance notes, accords, projection, longevity, or any perfume terminology. All I knew was that I had never experienced a scent like this before. It wasn't just something I smelled it was something I felt.
After that day, I started wearing attars regularly. As my curiosity grew, I began reading and researching fragrances. That's when I realized there was an entire world beyond deodorants and inexpensive perfumes.
To be honest, I already knew attars existed, but I always assumed they were meant for older people. I never thought they were for someone like me, so I never gave them a chance. Over time, I explored many well-known fragrances and tried decants of perfumes like Creed Aventus, Tom Ford Oud Wood, Lattafa Khamrah, and many others. Every fragrance taught me something new and helped me develop a deeper appreciation for perfumery.
But if someone asks me what truly started my fragrance journey, my answer will always be the same: White Oud.
As for its performance, it easily lasts eight hours or more on my skin. To me, it has a smooth white floral and woody character. It's neither overpowering nor boring just clean, elegant, and incredibly comforting. Even today, it's a fragrance I genuinely enjoy wearing.
I've recently faced a story as a perfume lover, I asked a guy who smell nice, he literally refused to tell me what kind of perfume he was wearing? Gatekeeping in perfume? Let's open up the GATE with a hammering threads 💪🏼
My Gatekeeping Perfume: Baccarat Rouge 540 🤩
Let's discuss and try something best!
It’s the time of the year when Korres perfumes become my go-to.
They are mostly EDTs (only one is EDP), but considering their price, the fact that they’re the most popular and easy-to-find drugstore fragrances here in Greece, and that they’re designed mainly for warmer weather, late spring to early fall is their time of year. They’re not cloggy, and the bottles are very sturdy and safe to carry around. So I wanted to share them, in case someone is interested!
Aegean Bronze — Korres (EDP)
It’s strictly a summer fragrance. But it’s the summer fragrance.
It’s the kind of scent I could imagine in an expensive sunscreen or tanning lotion, with glitter and all that. It’s not “Aegean Bronze” because it smells like the Aegean Sea, sun, salt, and fig trees, but it does smell like vacations.
It’s an all-day, everyday holiday scent: from the beach straight to the bar at night, still with salt in my hair. For two years in a row, this (with its glittery bronze body lotion) has been my only fragrance on summer vacation because I don’t want to carry a lot of stuff.
Sugar, vanilla, and sand are the most prominent notes to me. The florals aren’t that dominant, you get a hint of plumeria, but that’s about it. It has a very beachy, salty, summery, creamy-sweet scent, with a faint touch of coconut even though it’s not listed. The citrus notes are not noticeable, but they’re definitely there as a general freshness. Even though it’s warm, sweet, and creamy, it still feels very fresh.
For an EDP, it doesn’t last very long, on me at least, but this is purely a summer vacation scent. I don’t even see it as suitable for a summer night in the city. It’s made for very hot, salt-breeze weather. But it’s not expensive, not suffocating, even though has good sillage, and paired with the body lotion the performance is decent. I just reapply it. On hair, it lasts quite well. It’s a throw in your bag and reapply every 2–3 hours on an island fragrance. That’s what it is. It's not a "perfume" perfume.
Cashmere Kumquat — Korres (EDT)
The more playful and fresh little sister of Alien.
If you like white florals like orange blossom and neroli, almond, and aromatic citrus, this is it. It's for Alien lovers who find it a little too heavy for warmer weather or daytime.
In my opinion, it’s a slightly lighter, fresher, more wearable version of that DNA. I can easily wear it from morning to night, all year round (during Summer maybe only at night). It’s a white floral fragrance with warm cashmere and citrus that is more noticeable in the opening but stays present throughout.
The citrus isn’t sharp or acidic. It’s more aromatic bc it's kumquat and orange, with a base of vanilla and almond. The cashmere note makes everything feel rounded and warm.
Kumquat, as a fruit, fresh, in liquers or in spoon sweets, is sweet and slightly tart, almost lemon-like but without the sharp acidity, and slightly piney. Here, that aspect is toned down, orange is more dominant, but I still think this is a hidden gem. Also, great longevity for an EDT.
Lefko — Korres (EDT)
It smells like innocence and purity. It also smells like your grandmother’s freshly washed laundry hanging in the sun in the garden. And I mean all of that at once: the flowers in the garden, the detergent, the sunshine, the feeling of your grandmother’s home, everything.
It’s more soapy at the beginning, but it settles into a warm, powdery, musky clean scent that still feels soft and comforting. I consider it unisex, even though it’s very delicate. It smells like a sunny morning around Easter, bright light, crisp air, and white laundry in a village garden at your grandma's house.
It has quite decent longevity for an EDT at this price point, and I find the sillage better than the average EDT for the first 2–3 hours as well. Also, it is a great Blanche alternative, not 100% the same, but close.
Bellflower — Korres (EDT)
It smells ✨pretty✨. I don’t know how else to describe the vibe.
It’s a green, woody, citrusy, fresh, slightly spicy floral fragrance. I’d call it safe overall, not boring, but not reinventing anything either. I’ve seen people say it’s a good dupe for The Beat, but I haven’t tried it, so I can’t confirm. Both are discontinued anyway, although I saw Korres hinting at a relaunch under a slightly different name, not sure what is going on.
It has a very clean, almost crystal-like opening, not soapy though. That’s why even though it’s not the most innovative scent, it still has something I personally gravitate toward.
The dry down becomes more powdery, woody, and warm, turning into a cozy skin scent while still staying floral and bright. Very easy everyday fragrance for all seasons, but best in spring.
Moderate sillage, decent longevity for an EDT.
White Tea — Korres (EDT)
My baby🥺
It’s a scent I can’t imagine myself without. It was my first perfume ever at 13, when the original version came out in 2011.
It’s a clean, fresh, slightly earthy white floral. My go-to for warmer spring days and warm autumn ones. It’s incredibly pretty and clean, but not soapy, very delicate floral. The dry down is powdery, woody, and slightly mossy musk. Just very easy, very comforting, and effortless.
Scandal Le Parfum by Jean Paul Gaultier- My first favourite scent, this perfume is so underrated idk why people don’t talk about it. Sweet muted florals perfect for people who aren’t big on florals, and a yummy caramel + vanilla drydown, nothing like its older sister (original scandal). Beautiful and lasts forever, gets compliments.
Ciao by Riiffs- This is a dupe for LDBS which I’ve never tried, but this scent is amazing. It is extremely sweet, and has a uniqueness about it. It’s strong and lasts a very good amount of time, I’m surprised it doesn’t have a vanilla note because it turns creamier the longer it’s on your skin.
Powder Love by Juliette has a Gun- Soft and sweet, gourmand but also clean, this fragrance does justice to pink powdery marshmallows. Makes me feel like a princess, also gets lot of compliments, just wish it lasted a lil longer.

Narciso rodriguez for her seems like one of those perfumes that can easily become someone's signature scent, like the musk is clean, the floral notes aren't overpowering, and it has a soft drydown that doesn't feel dated from this i can see why it has such a loyal following, it feels recognizable without being loud, and it doesn't rely on trendy notes that go out of style quickly, if someone asked me to guess which perfume could quietly become their most worn bottle, ig this would definitely be high on the list, em5 Pour Elle is a nice option if you enjoy the style of Narciso Rodriguez For Her. What perfume do you think has the best chance of becoming your next signature scent?
I’m so excited I’ve always wanted to smell this. I’m not sure how I feel about its opening. But the dab on my wrist turned out lovely after a bit. What is all the sediment ? Kinda ick looking 🥴🥴
I came across this in a shop in a tourist town, and I wish I knew perfume speak because I don't know how to describe it other than delicious. I'm so extremely picky about perfume. I probably have 20 different kinds in my home right now that I hate. I love this one every time. Unfortunately it doesn't last very long but I recently bought the perfume spray and I'm anxious to see that it smells the same and last longer. I hope so. Anyway, I can't recommend this one highly enough.
The best I can do as far as describing the scent would be to say I definitely smell citrus, in my mind the word would be dark citrus but I'm sure that doesn't mean anything but what I mean is something more like grapefruit as opposed to something high-pitched like lemon. Then there is something floral in there but it's very light. It's so beautiful. There's no powderiness in this at all, thank God. I'm so sick of powder smell in perfumes. There's nothing like food in here, I hate vanilla and I'm not smelling any vanilla. But is there a little tiny bit of sweetness like sugar maybe? I think so. Brown sugar maybe. Nothing spicy, or anything that I would describe as spicy. As you can see by my descriptive wording my idea of spicy is probably not correct. 😅
I don't know perfume words, I just know that this stuff is so good I can't get enough of it. As far as I know this is a small company that a woman started and she makes everything in small batches. So I hope that she never stops doing it or that she never gets overwhelmed and can't make it anymore or something. I really hope she doesn't sell out and somebody takes over and ruins it. If I thought it would last forever I'd just buy a hundred bottles right now so I never run out. I believe it is just essential oils in coconut oil? Anyway, I recommend it. I think I might start buying some of the other ones just to see what they smell like too but I'm pretty addicted to this one.
Stairway to Heaven by Jul et Mad came onto my radar when I was looking for suggestions for perfumes that smell icy, like cold air. I know it's an abstract idea but I really had been craving that atmosphere or feeling in a perfume especially during the humid Mumbai summers.
To me, the opening of STH reads like fizzy orange soda. The fizziness is ticklish, like a carbonated orange drink with bubbles popping close to my nose. That's probably the aldehydes, they've been blended quite differently compared to the other retro aldehydes that read harsh to the nose. I like it!
As it settles, it transitions into a metallic powder that feels distinctly cold. I'm guessing the gunpowder note is part of that effect. I had been worried that the gunpowder note might smell acrid or burnt but that's not what's happening here. It wears as a metallic, clean, controlled powder. The overall impression is very white and airy, like a clean cold surface, mineralaic with a powdery texture.
I love how uniquely STH delivers that freezing-air idea. It does not morph into something cozy or sweet, nor does it have anything spicy, green or earthy. It stays cool and white, and it genuinely makes me think of cold air in a way that feels more like atmosphere.
I typically get around 6 to 7 hours of longevity, with moderate projection for an initial hour and then it's pretty much a skin scent.
I can't with these reviews
I try not to go on Fragrantica due to the site owners' political leanings, but the review content there is just priceless **bawling emoji**
I myself describe JHAG Superdose as "if butt sweat were made into fractals"; I got a travel size (and, honestly? I enjoy it despite the "uncanny valley" aspect it gives my olfactory senses), but I definitely don't reach for it to even just spray and compare to the other perfumes I own anymore (it's now on the list for decluttering!)
Point is, this review deinfluenced me lmao
"Ocean Breeze" and it smells like a dentist's waiting room. "Naked" and it's heavier than a fur coat. You know what I mean 🤣
