Durham school services driver pension

Hi guys, I just recently started as a bus driver at durham school services. Still in orientation, however, I just found out we are part of the Teamsters union. My question, does anyone know how much they put in your pension fund for every hour of work? Curious. Thanks

Durham school services

Hi guys, I recently started CDL B training with Durham School Services. I came in with my CLP already. Durham provides the training and testing here locally. My question, how difficult is the pre inspection and skills exam? Do a lot of people fail? Thanks.

Stoked

Guys, I know this isn’t a big deal but I’m pretty stoked. I got hired with Durham school services and they’re paying for my CDL B. Wage is $29.27 per hour, 5 hours per day. Not a whole lot, but I also got a delivery driver did for Amazon working Saturday and Sundays at $24.25 per hour with OT. Together I’ll clear $60k+. :). Next year I plan on paying $10k and getting my CDL A and expand from there. What do you guys think?

CDL B experience count for CDL A driving?

What’s up gang? Quick question for you experienced drivers: I recently got hired to drive school buses, the company is paying for my CDL B. Next year, I’m going to school to get my CDL A. My question: does my experience driving a school bus count as relevant experience for CDL A-related vehicles later?

Question for techs

Hey guys,

I’m currently a school bus driver but going to school to become a diesel tech. It’s a 1 year certificate program at UAF CTC. Was wondering if it’s realistic to get a job straight out of school or if I’ll need some experience. If so, what’s a good way of gaining experience? Thanks.
