Panasonic VT50 Plasma 3D has terrible crosstalk / double image on dark scenes?

I have watched several movies now on my 55VT50 and when scenes are dark or dark objects are sometimes in brighter scenes the double image is super distracting even when stationary and not in motion. I figure plasma may have some in motion because of phosphorus glow burning off but this is even when there is no movement in the scene.

I am using Samsung SSG4100GB 3D glasses. When I was using the first gen Panasonic glasses on my ST30 42” I don’t remember seeing cross talk like this. Is it a problem with a setting on my panel or something? I’m using THX 3D picture preset. I don’t seem to find much if any improvement with manual settings adjustment. Normal brighter outdoor type scenes and stuff look phenomenal. The panel only has a little over 11K hours on it.

Glasses shouldn’t be the issue i wouldn’t think seeing as how the 2013 sets had a new 3D glasses standard they all followed. Im using a BDT2200’Panasonic Blu Ray player from around the same time period.

Latest pickup, first time showing collection, and my Pany Plasma!

Built a pretty good collection over the past year! Been watching on my 42” Panasonic ST30 but upgraded to a Panasonic 55VT50 found on marketplace! Using a “vintage” Panasonic BDT220 player as well!

Really need to build some proper shelves in my closet but that requires I stop buying movies first!

Found a free 55” GT50 in Atlanta. Junp on it guys and gals.

No specific info was given as far as hours and things but this person seems pretty familiar with plasma tech possibly. Anyway, it’s free. Even if it were crap condition it’s probably worth picking up for spare parts if yours close!

55VT50 3DS Emulation of Mario 3D land!

The 3d is so good on this emulator and when you combine it with the a 5x upscale inside the emulator as well.... It's insane!

How much difference is there between a ST50/GT50/VT50?

I'm trying to make some decisions in case I can't get the burn in on the VT50 I bought to be less distracting. I've done a lot for it but it's still bugging me more than I'd like.

In east Tennessee I'm not seeing any VT50s close by. I currently have a 55VT50. I've seen some GT50 and ST50 models in 60inch near me. 60inch kind of concerns me because I sit so close to the 55 already. Probably about 6 1/2 feet maybe.

I love this image quality aside from the burn in and the 3D is terrific. I don't want to go to the 60 series due to much higher input latency for gaming.

So how much difference would I notice dropping to a GT or ST? I watch on a pretty dark room. Only one window diaganol from the TV and with the blinds closed it keeps decently dark so reflections on this one have been a non issue in the day time.

Which of you were able to pick up this gem!? How did it turn out?

I guess I'm just curious about this one in the southeast US. I really wanted to go pick it up if I could negotiate the price down but I wasn't able to get them to send any pictures of whether or not the screen had burn in so now I'm kind of curious what kind of deal somebody managed to get on it if it's someone on here and how did the screen turn out and how many hours did it have on it? Curiosity got the best of me lol

VT50 reverse burn in fix attempt results

Edit: the two bluray screen photos got swapped. The first one is the after and the before is the second one. I wanted it other way around

If you recall this VT50 (11k hours)had what appeared to be a reverse burn in as I'm calling it. It has a bright frame around the entire screen. Gemini seems to think this was caused by using a streaming device or cable/satellite box that was setup to use underscan for compatibility with old CRTs.

Gemini suggested that because this border was left black for so long, the phospurs didn't age like the middle of the screen did and it created a HTML file that I ran full screen in a browser window for multiple hours at a time over night and various other times.

It does look like it has made a pretty dramatic difference. The TV had sat for around 2 years unused according to the owner and they had it in a workout room at their house so I don't know how long it might have had the underscan in use and may have slightly overshot since the frame is now darker. They were much for information so I did the best I could.

What do you guys think? It still kind of bothers me in scenes where it's visible. But I can't find another 55VT50 close to me and can only find GT50 and ST50 models in 60". I'm afraid I'll lose to much sharpness at my 6 or so feet viewing distance since 1080p is already a little soft at this size and distance and I'm also afraid I'd miss out on image quality. Especially blacks and the better filter

VT60 65" for sale in East Tennessee / Knoxville. Someone jump on it.

Would be worth getting more details as the listing is a little vague but looks like a great deal if the panel checks out. I'd love it but too high of input lag for my use case.

Found a killer ST50 deal if you're close to Greenville SC. He even has the box.

I was ready to go pick this up today until I realized it was over 5 hours away from me lol. But I think an ST50 at this price with the original box and everything sounds like a steal. These things really nice and said there's zero burn in or blemishes whatsoever and then it wasn't used nearly as much as he would have liked

Picked up a 55VT50 but has some nasty burn in.

Picked it up for $80 and planned to test it when I did but they were missing the correct power cable and didn't know it took a non standard type as they hadn't used it in 3 years.

11114 hours isn't terrible but it has a CBSN logo burned in the lower right corner. The worst part is it has a square frame burnt around the entire screen. I'll play some videos over night on my PS4 I guess but I'm open to suggestions on any particular video or method to try

Stand for 55" VT50?

I'm hopefully picking up a 55 inch VT50 next week. But it doesn't have the stand. Does anyone know the original part number for the stand? Are there any 3rd party options that you would recommend that work well and are nicer?

Strange stutters in UE5;games that go away with driver reinstall then come back

I can't figure this out and Gemini is no help lol. I'm playing Lego Batman Legacy (new one but this happened in The Ascent before too). I'm getting random stutters that can occur standing still or on the move.

Last night I used DDU to reinstall the driver for my 5060ti in an UT3G USB dock hooked up to my MSI Claw's USB 4 port and then reinstalled them and the stutter was gone. Even at almost all epic settings with framegen and preset K DLSS I got zero stutter.

Fast-forward to today and the only thing that has changed was my son played Farming Sim 22 for set hours and now stutter is back. Deleted all the caches from the Steam folder and the Nvidia DXCahe folder minus a handful it refuses to let me. The game recompiled the shaders just fine and instant stutter again.

What is going on?

Lego Batman's system requirements are way overblown! (5060ti eGPU experience)

I wrote this game off till I saw the hardware unboxed video and I'm glad I purchased it now! I have my 5060ti 16GB on an eGPU dock plugged up to my MSI Claw 7Ai+ with Intel CPU and holy smokes.

I've got it at 4k with lighting. Shadows, reflections, and materials on Epic with most everything else on high. DLSS is on quality with preset K (heard it causes less latency and overhead with an eGPU) and frame gen on 2x and so far an hour or so in I am getting over 100fps and it's silky smooth.

I initially had a lot of stutter and then remembered some times when I upgrade the Nvidia drivers they get buggy so I did a DDU and reinstall and this game looks phenomenal so far. I seriously thought looking at those requirements that I'd be sitting at like 45fps or worse with framegen 😂

Definitely give this one a shot!

New owner with question on my Samsung S25 Ultra

Just got these Air 4 Pro in the mail and trying to figure them out. I've tried the Space Walker app a lot of people recommend but it keeps saying I need to enable USB access permissions but it'll never show me an actual prompt. I did enable near y devices permissions manually in the app info screen but not sure that helps.

I also have some full SBS bluray rips and I've tried 3D VR player and the space walker app and can't get them to be a single 3d image just the two separate ones. They are 33GB roughly in size (some variation between movies( so I assume they should be the correct format.

I've adjusted them a lot but having issues with seeing the entire screen. Dex also seems to take over and I switch to mirroring mode instead which I assume is the only way to exit Dex, or at least that's all I can find.

Anyone else have difficulty getting the gamepad to work after having it disabled and turning it back on?

For a handful of games I have to disable the built in controller if I want to play a game docked to my EGPU using a USB Hub and and Xbox controller.

I disable the built in controls using the MSI menus in the game bar. Where I have an issues is when I reanable the built in controls they won't work sometimes unless I do the ESC (or whatever it's called) reset where you hold the power button till the LED flashes a couple of times.

Controller firmware is up to date. Any suggestions or fixes for this?

Forza Horizon 6 on MSI Claw 7Ai+ with RTGI and Ray Tracing actually works well!

Get between 38-45 FPS with RT and RTGI set to low using XESS set to quality and most other settings at High and a couple on Medium. Very impressed for a hand held Intel GPU.

Sometimes the upscaling will blur some like if you were streaming the game but reviews seem to say this is an issue with FSR as well so hopefully it gets patched. I don't think there's any kind of dynamic resolution at work here is there?

Forza Horizon 6 won't start with EGPU

Can't figure this out. I have a MSI Claw 7 Ai+ handheld and the game starts just fine in handheld mode. As soon as I shutdown and connect my 5960ti 16GB and reboot I can't get the game to start. The Xbox Game Studio animation plays and then just a black screen. Everything but the EGPU is identical setup wise. I have the Steam Version

I picked up a Vita TV finally after always wanting one. The only problem is I also own literally every other PlayStation console and handheld 😂. So trying to find a reason for it to exist in my setup is a little challenging.

I have it setup with CFW and have Sharpscale set to 1080i with integer scale plugged up to my 2011 Panasonic ST30 42" 1080p Plasma in my retro gaming room. I've got a GBS Control upscaler but don't currently have the Vita TV ram through it because I need an HDMI to component adapter.

But anyway, I'm looking for some good homebrew/ports or official games where I don't take a massive downgrade from the PS3/4 version to play. Something like maybe games where there's no cross save with console where I can play on the Vita itself and then the TV when at home to carry on progress.

I plan to play PSP games with Adrenaline since my PSP is a 1000 and doesn't have the component video out capability.
