Need more alphas in a line than allowed

When you stack more then 5 or 6 planes with transparent parts it becomes a black void instead of transparency. My characters are 2d and use planes with partially transparent images. What should I do?

Plane with transparent image background and AO shade

The planes with the 2d images on them. The transparent part of the material is making a shadow with ambient occlusion. I tried to bake the AO map but because the inside is only lit up by the emission of the same material is didnt work out. I tried to turn on only local but it made the table hard to distinguish from the walls and the floor. I need to remove those square shadows and keep the shadows of the 2d drawings. The material of the walls and tables is the same. I gave it emission because I like how bright it looks.
