Upcharge feels like a scam

The original fair price given was £16.94 which I accepted and paid for my 15/20 min journey. I then see 2 further charge attempts on my card : one for £9.76 and one for £24.97. This along with the original fare means the trip comes to £39 instead of £16.94?!
Surely this is not normal. Feels sketchy AF

I’ve just moved into my first solo apartment, it’s ok/decent. Just looks like a flat from 2008. Older furniture, wear and tear etc. It has the potential to look good, but it’s not nice enough to stay undecorated.

I’m relying on things like fb marketplace for second hand pieces. I just got this vintage art deco vanity for my bedroom for **free**! I want pieces I will enjoy and want to take with me (renting). It’s a struggle for matching pieces as that’s a slower process, but I do want all ugly furniture out asap.

I feel like I have a million ideas and styles but no clue where to start. Pinterest is sick of me. As a person I feel as if I’m a mixture of aesthetics so now I’m conflicted with decorating.

Plus I have to upcycle, paint and decorate individual furniture too. I just want to be able to have things that work and complement eachother. I feel like I can’t touch the vanity until I have an idea what the all over vibe will be.

TLDR; I have too many different ideas basically
