Whole Home Audio for Ambience

I im in the process of planning for a whole home audio for a big 1 story house. Only 5 zones will need to have the audio. The speakers are in-ceiling type (will go for focal, kef, klipsch or the like) and for the amp decided to go with unifo power amplifier. There are around 31 speakers so i will need 15 unifo amps.

My worry is is that the central rack is to the side of the house and the house being 1 story i will have runs of 25 meters and even 50+ meters for some zones.

It would be nice having them all in one place but i should have the amps close as possible to the speakers, right?

How those of you who had speakers pretty far from the rack deployed the amps?

**Is it ok if i spread and place them in wardrobes, ceiling, utility boxes, etc?**

I can't place the amps wherever i want because of arhitectural and visual issues (owners strictly don't want to see them).

I have a client who wants to control access to an outdoor pedestrian gate using UniFi Access. They specifically want the drop bolt form factor (like the UACC-Lock-Bolt-Safe) but that one is indoor only and available in july 2026.( the fail-secure version is not preferred)

Everything I find for outdoor gates is either a maglock or a bulky post-mounted unit — nothing with that slim rim-mount bolt style.

For those who've done outdoor pedestrian gate installs with UniFi Access:

- What lock did you end up using?

- Did you find anything close to the bolt form factor for outdoor/weatherproof use?

- Or did you go with a different lock type and just make it work with the controller?

Any real-world experience appreciated. Thanks

To clarify it is a metal gate door.
