Battery life failing after couple years of daily play- can I use a constant charger and if so how many watts can I safely push?
I have a Quest Pro (and a 2 and an og Oculus) and I have been playing long hours daily while tethered. I mostly play PC games on Virtual Desktop these days, I love leaning back on my bed playing games on a virtual screen.
But now I'm finding the device powers down before I'm finished playing. It happens with all batteries and because I don't mind playing seated I use the provided charger and 10ft cord to keep supplying power to the battery. Once the battery drains, though, the unit will not power up until it recharges some.
So my thinking is to use a higher powered charger block such that enough power trickles to last the day. I just don't wanna damage it. How much is too much?
