As the title says my family and I have HD permits for June 28th. I know the mist trail will be open during that time, but everywhere I’ve looked says the JMT will open “late june”. We’ve been hoping to take the JMT down to avoid the stairs where we can. I’m just wondering if anyone has any insight into what exactly “late june” might mean and if it’s going to be feasibly open on june 28th, considering the Mist trail closures start the 30th. Thank you!
