My 2025 Mazda CX-70 GT Caught Fire — Very Bad Experience with Mazda Gabriel Saint-Laurent

I’m sharing this to warn other customers about my experience with **Mazda Gabriel Saint-Laurent**, especially the **new car department**.

I had a **2025 Mazda CX-70 GT** with around **40,000 km**. Before the fire, the radiator was leaking. The car did not clearly warn me about the leak, but the AC stopped working and I heard unusual noise, so I took it to the dealership.

They inspected the car and replaced the radiator. After that, I noticed the engine temperature was unstable, going up and down, and I complained about it.

Before the car caught fire, I received a warning about **electrical leakage**. I called the dealership on Friday and left a voicemail asking them to call me back Monday morning. While waiting for towing, I pulled over safely on the highway. Then the car caught fire with my family inside. The car locked, and we had to escape through the trunk. Alhamdulillah, everyone made it out safely.

I waited all Monday for a call back, but nobody called. So I went to the dealership myself.

We waited for the new car sales manager. He saw us waiting, but instead of inviting us into his office to discuss a serious safety incident privately, he came to speak to us in the waiting area in front of everyone.

He did not apologize, did not say sorry, and did not show any real concern or support. His attitude was rude and dismissive. When I explained what happened, he basically told me: **“Why are you here? You should talk to Mazda directly.”**

I asked him, **“Aren’t you part of Mazda?”** He said they are **Mazda Saint-Laurent, not Mazda Canada**, and that I should not come to them directly to complain about the vehicle.

This response was shocking. As a customer, I expected the dealership that sold and serviced the car to at least guide me, support me, or show basic respect after such a dangerous situation.

From my experience, they care when they want to sell you a car, but once a serious issue happens, the support disappears. I was a loyal Mazda customer, but not anymore.

I want this message to reach as many people as possible. Be very careful dealing with **Mazda Gabriel Saint-Laurent**, especially the **new car department**. I strongly recommend going to another dealership that respects customers after the sale, not only before it.

I’m now looking further into the situation, including the recent repair and inspection.

Has anyone else had a similar experience with this dealership or Mazda support in Canada?
