We will no longer allow thread crapping or pointless critique's or comments about thumbnails.

If you dont like the thumb, skip the content thats your prerogative.

People who post content here are rarely if ever the people that upload the content to youtube. So you are thread-crapping a OM user who just wanted to share content they have found by making off topic comments in their submission thread.

Asking pointless questions/making off topic statements about something that OM users have nothing to do with adds nothing to the conversation here.

Nobody likes AI thumbs, but this is not the venue to go sideways on it. We here on OM just want to share media. If you cannot appreciate that someone took the time to share content, and does not need to be inundated with posts about a thumbnail I dont know what to tell you.

We value submitters as engaged users and do not want to discourage anyone from sharing media here.

Go right ahead and message the uploaders on youtube as that might actually do something. Commenting on a thumbnail here as your only contribution to the discussion does nothing to add to the sharing or discussion of media.

Not to mention it falls afoul of the rules. Please note the New thread crapping rule.

Commenting Guidelines Be nice!: if you post a rudely condescending/attacking/generally dick-ish comment you will be banned with no prior warning.

**No Thread-crapping: Posting negative/off topic comments that are contrary to the spirit or intent of a discussion thread. That being sharing and discussing of obscure media.

As of late we have had a lot of users complaining about the use by youtube uploaders of AI thumbnails. The only thing I can do about it is turn off thumbnail previews entirely on the sub. So I put it to you OM users, preview thumbnails on or off on the subreddit?
