This clematis has been here since my wife and I purchased it 4 years ago… before, there were large shrubs which were mostly covering the bottom half/three quarters of the plant, but around Mother’s Day this year I removed all the shrubs and planted Hydrangea. At first I thought this Clematis was done for. Shortly after the change, the entire plant wilted, turned brown and did not look good at all. Now, after watering almost daily due to extreme heat waves here (Philadelphia PA) I have a lot of new growth coming in. My question is, should I remove all of the withered/brown vines and leaves or should I leave them be?

Was sick and tired of looking at these ugly shrubs out front. My grandparents had the most beautiful hydrangeas at their house when I was growing up as a kid so I decided to follow in their footsteps. So glad I went this route! Before, first planted (around Mother’s Day) and just now pics. Blushing brides (two centered plants) have produced a few very large blooms but I deadhead them once they turned brown and withered, but the stems and leaves themselves are getting huge quickly! Can’t wait to see some more hopefully soon!

Cherry tomato plants have done great so far, but now a lot of the leaves are turning yellow/brown and falling off. Still producing a lot of delicious tomatoes, but wondering what is going on? It’s been very hot lately in Philadelphia PA area so I have been watering almost daily unless we’ve had a decent amount of rain, watering until I see drainage coming from the bottom. Please help!

My hibiscus plant has been taken over by aphids… When we first noticed them we sprayed them off with water and then applied neem oil. All was good for 2-3 weeks but now they’re back with vengeance. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do to get them away and potentially keep them away?

Endless Summers purchased and planted about a month ago and blooming like crazy. Should I deadhead these blooms that are turning brown or leave them be? Thanks!

After a botched prune job and the weight of heavy snow over the winter, wife and I decided to remove all these shrubs except for the evergreen in the center. Looking for ideas on what to plant to replace them. We were thinking of alternating Azalea and Hydrangea to make it colorful. Also wondering how far apart these should be planted so we know how many we need to get. We have 13ft on each side of the evergreen.
