Been noticing trends toward no plastic fibers at Ross & Walmart this summer!

Super excited I started trying to cut plastic/polyester clothing years ago when I got this amazing dress that was so breathable and comfy I lived in it all summer and finally I looked at the tag to see what it was made from & it was made of Rayon. I had trouble finding similar options for years after that.

The past couple weeks I’ve been shopping and I noticed Ross had a huge selection of 100% cotton, linen, rayon, or a mix of the above in their summer dresses.

Today I went to Walmart and their summer clothes caught my eye and soooo many of the options were 100% cotton, a few 100% linen or cotton/linen blends, a lot of 100% semi synthetics too or a blend of cotton/linen/semi synthetics including rayon, viscose, lyocell, some still are a low percentage of spandex or polyester. But I found shirts, pants, shorts, and tons of dresses that were 100% natural fibers. Also if they contain elastic the elastics do contain plastic. Tags posted are all from Walmart.

Not really interested in debate over if semi synthetics are just as bad or harmful to health or the ethics of buying at major retailers or any of that just happy to find mostly non plastic clothes that are affordable and wanted to share. For years I didn’t buy summer dresses cause almost every widely available option in my budget was plastic.

*for funsies, take a good look at the image before reading the rest to see if you notice the mistake**

Just thought this was funny I’ve been having some imposter syndrome lately, picked this sheet to color with my kid and try to model coloring *inside the lines* cause he just scribbles all over the page.

All I saw was spaces, numbers, Dino discovery, and was like cool color by numbers with an image revealed at the end imma use green for all the spaces with 1 and work from there… i did all the #1s green and half the #2 orange before reading the directions and decided I’d “fix” it by coloring everything with a number *other than 2* green cause I still wanted to see the final image 😂😂

Also ik not my neatest work never been great at fine motor control & the markers suck & I was trying to hurry before my kid drew on my paper or stole my markers lmao
