Carson Beck Almost Certainly Won't Play Saturday vs The Cowboys

I don't want to be a downer, but it's been about a week since Carson Beck's "rib injury" has been disclosed to the public. In that week, Carson has not participated in the throwing part of practice. Given the injury scare's of this off-season and lack of practice, it's almost certain that Lafleur won't play Carson Beck on Saturday.

What are your thoughts on this so called "rib injury" that has lingered for weeks? And how disappointed are you that it will be another week of no Carson Beck highlights?

The Cardinals 2026 First, Second, Third, and Fourth Round Picks Are All Unable To Practice Due To Injury

Here are the injuries, they vary in severity:

1st Round Pick: Jeremiyah Love. Assumed to miss the rest of pre-season and maybe first month from a high ankle sprain caused by a Raiders player drop tackling him.

2nd Round Pick: Chase Bisontis. Out the entire season with a torn MCL due to a Raiders player launching into his knee.

3rd Round Pick: Carson Beck. Day-to-day with a rib injury caused by diving during the HOF game.

4th Round Pick: Kaleb Proctor. Out the entire season due to a torn meniscus suffered during workouts in May.

On the bright side, our 5th Round Pick (Reggie Virgil, WR) and 7th Round Pick (Jayden Williams, OT) both have looked pretty good so far.

How is your team's rookie class looking on the injury front?

Jeremiyah Love is being held OUT of Arizona Cardinals practice this week with an ankle injury. Cards coach Mike LaFleur says the ankle was sorer "than expected," and they'll "reevaluate" after this week.[PHNX Cardinals]

#AZCardinals second-round OL Chase Bisontis, one of their promising young players, suffered a torn MCL that requires surgery against the #Raiders, per me and @MikeGarafolo. Only the MCL will be repaired.

An Opportunity for Jon Gaines & Hayden Conner...

With Chase Bisontis out for the year, we're really going to need our prior guard prospects to step it up and fill the void. Jon Gaines looked really good in his return last year playing center and guard while Hayden Conner got injured and was overall limited in play.

What are your thoughts on these guards and our overall depth?

Brendan Sorsby

Brendan Sorsby has just declared for the NFL supplemental draft, which occurs in a few weeks. Teams can bid their next year draft pick on him, hightest round pick wins (after tie breakers). In 2019, the Cardinals picked Jalen Thompson in the supplemental draft for a 5th round pick and it went well.

The big question is...do we bid on Brendan Sorsby and if so how high?

Its time to pay Michael Wilson

Michael Wilson is now entering the final year of his rookie contract, ending the season with 1K yards and cementing himself as the clear #1 and best WR on the team. His peers have been paid handsomely, for example Christian Watson (4 yrs for $111M) and Alec Pierce (4 yrs for $114M). Michael Wilson is clearly as good (if not better and healthier) than those two. Its only fair to do right by Michael Wilson and pay him something like 4 years for $115M..

What are your thoughts and why do you think the team is delaying paying him?
