I’m Finally Trying to Quit Vaping and the Withdrawal is the Worse Part

I have health issues that suggest I really shouldn’t be smoking such as MS and Bipolar. I’ve been vaping for about 2 years now. Before I started vaping I had smoked on and off but I had never been addicted. I would just smoke a cigerette while drinking or something like a few times a month. But now it’s safe to say I’m addicted.

I decided to finally quit vaping which for me is hard because the vape is there and available. I don’t have to go outside to smoke it. Right now I’m using the gum and cutting back on the vape. I’m still vaping right now, but no where near as much as I was. Like I would aay before I was doing it allll the time, like every few minutes and now I’m doing it like maybe 7 or 8 times a day, sometimes less. The gum, I’m using 4mg Nicorette gum and I’m doing that at most 6 times a day. I’m on day 3 of that.

The problem is, I’m getting withdrawal symptoms. Which I think is weird if I’m still using nicotine. I have stomach issues, trouble sleeping, anxiety, irritability and a panicked feeling when I lay down to go to sleep.

My Mom suggested I use the patch the other day so I decided to order Nicoderm Step 1 21 mg patches. I plan on doing that and using the gum for right now when I get an urge which I saw was recommended by the CDC and Mayo Clinic. I plan on not vaping with the patch at all, and I’m hoping I don’t have such bad withdrawal symptoms.

What was your guy’s experience quitting with the patch or/and nicotine gum? Did you have withdrawal symptoms? Do you currently have withdrawal symptoms? Any advice?
