Stuttered my whole life. Been able to mask it pretty well when I’m in a certain setting. I found when I’m always speaking in a joking loud tone I rarely stutter but when I use my normal voice I do. It’s also more frequent when I’m stressed. I’ve known people for years and didn’t stutter then all of a sudden I start tweaking and they think I stuttered on a purpose to make a joke. I’ve recently been in combat on and off for a little over two months now. I’ve had leadership try to get me to get out of the fight because they think I’m getting too nervous or anxious and can’t handle it, (Not saying I’m not nervous or anxious sometimes). But I’m not any more scared as anyone else, I just sound like an idiot doing it. There’s literally like 2 close buddies here that know I stutter, I really should open up more about it. But it’s like every day a new person I’ve know for a while heard me stutter for the first time and all of a sudden they think I’m this shell shocked tweaker.
I’m sure people have had similar experiences where they are able to mask their speech for a long time but not well enough. Are there a strategies anyone uses or things people say to people to avoid this weird ass moment?

I’ve really started to explore more dnb and jungle. I know there’s a ton that is inspired by the y2k play station era but I would like to hear some songs that have actual sampled voice lines or sounds integrated into it. A halo or half life sampled song I think would be sweet. Anyone have any recommendations? Thank you
