I set up a 10’x20’ net on ceiling casters in my garage. My ceiling is around 9.5’, but the net sort of stays bunched up and barely reaches the floor. Stretching it doesn’t help as it just springs right back.

My thought was to put a heavy cord/rope at the bottom, but I also need for it to be flexible enough to put to the side, bundle up and tie together so we can park our car. The ones I thought would work ended up being too rigid and the thinner ones don’t weigh much.

I can't seem to find info on if the Omni must use the tripod stand to be above the hitting surface and if it must be exact. I am building a hitting mat that is about 2" high. The Omni would sit to the side of the mat on the ground, but if the bottom of the tripod feet must be level with the hitting surface than I will need to make a stand for it as well so it is lined up.

I'm trying to find a golf mat that is exactly 0.5" to use as the top layer of a diy hitting mat. I want to do the sigpro softy build with the gym tiles underneath and I already have plenty of 1" thick foam tiles. So if the sigpro softy is 2.5" I need 2 x 1" foam and then a 0.5" mat or turf. I was looking at USAturfpros, but the shortest one I saw there was 0.75".

Anyone know of any mats or turf that is about 0.5" thick and can function as a good putting surface? I want to be able to hit off the insert and then putt off the mat when playing sim rounds.

I haven't ordered the Square HE yet, but I am trying to design a hitting mat and stand for the Square that fits in my garage.

I plan to do the popular gym mat + Golf mat + cutout for hitting strip. I'm also going to 3D print a little stand with adjustable feet so the Square can be at the right height.

But after seeing some videos of people playing sim golf on the square I'm curious if there is a way to move the Square closer and away from the hitting area so you can put on a surface more realistic and flat. Most hitting strips I see in videos look like they develop a shallow divot in them and when people putted on the mat sometimes the ball curved due to that divot. They also commented that its very slow compared to a green so the same putt power doesn't transfer 1:1 to the course.

But if the Square unit must remain in the same position then that idea won't work. I was thinking of a stand that has two cutouts a few inches apart and when putting you move the unit to the put cutout and then back for normal shots. Reading the manual the hitting area is fairly small and specific so a mat with two hitting surface types doesn't seem feasible.

Here is an example. Most the max length is 30' so if you need longer is it possible to line two of these tracks up, maybe epoxy them, or will they need two brackets right adjacent to eachother since most reviews say they are so rigid that they never fully straighten unless you have the backets very close together. My only fear installing this and then the alignement doesn't last and the rollers end up catching every time they go over the joint.

I am planning out a placement in my garage, but one issue is space, which is why the Square HE is appealing or other similar camera based options.

My issue is I will likely have one car in the garage which will be directly behind me when hitting. Is this going to be a major issue? If so I need to plan on adding some sort of curtain to create a blank backdrop for the launch monitor. Most testing/reviews I see on the Square are in dedicated golf sim enclosures not in a messy garage with a car or other stuff like a storage rack or bicycles in the backdrop.
