Lean into the patina?
Just bought a house built in the 30s... I stopped by to get some "before" pictures before starting some projects. I was originally thinking of painting the walls a dark green and the ceiling white so it's not too dark. I'm now having 2nd thoughts on leaving the walls original and just doing the ceiling black. Would you make things a bit more modern in here or keep it old school? I'm clearly not opposed to some patina... The HVAC is getting removed and all the white tubes will also be gone too.

Spare Cover Question...?
In short, does a 32" tire fit under the OEM painted cover?

I'm about to get some new wheels for our 130 and want to go as tall and wide as I can to protect them from my very smart wife's lack of depth perception. Leaning towards 275 55 20s. I was able to do this successfully on our A6 AllRoad so hoping to do it again. Do I need to get 5 and go cover-less or will the cover fit over a larger tire? On one hand, it would probably look a bit better with all 5, but one less wheel and tire in the garage also sounds nice.

Been trying to shop these for over a month now waiting to find a deal on the bronze ones. Finally found a set and bit the bullet... To turn out to only have 4. It might be confirmation bias but I swear I can feel the weight difference. Side note, remote install is 👌. Such a cool setup they have.

Our defender just arrived today at the dealership!
So I gather 285 45 24 is the largest tire I can clear... What's the smallest wheel that will fit over the calipers? We have the 130 with 400 I6... 19s are available from the factory do 18s clear? I see there is a company who make small rear calipers to clear 18s? That is a first for me... Thanks!

Does anyone have any suggestion on how to properly seal the wires entering the cab? The first shop I had wire everything up threw some silicone on it but I got bad water intrusion. Id really rather not have to them run down the front of the windshield, but is that really the only way to insure no water gets in? Are there any tricks to sealing up the wires? I have 3 signal wires and ground...
