Urban exploration

You see online people saying stagnant water is the most dangerous thing when urban exploring, but it's not. Well, it is an issue; things like mold and things like mold's structural issues and people are much more dangerous. But most of that can be prevented. You keep a painter's mask on you and avoid any areas that seem off; you'll be fine. People are much more tricky, though. That's why I keep pepper spray and a knife. Unfortunately, there wasn't any danger I knew to prepare for.

And you all should know an extra danger you could encounter. Well, exploring.

I got a word from a good friend of mine. About this untouched building, it was some creepy-ass lab in the middle of the woods, but he said it was safe-ish, and he could practically see the mold in the air. And no sign of habitation, but he didn't get a good look at it. He was looking for mushrooms and shit, not abandoned buildings. So like an idiot, I went alone. Cliché, I know. But I thought I would deal with some transient or a junkie. If worst comes to worst, may some radiation. But that's why I brought a Geiger counter.

Almost everything was normal. As it could be, it was really cool. Actually, I took my fair share of pictures. Gods, I wish I could show y'all pictures. Then I saw it. The dumb sign I should have listened to: All trespassers will get eaten. It's not like I've never seen that kind of thing before, usually in zoos and safaris. I thought it was something a random idiot put up as a joke. Then I heard nails clicking as an animal walked; it sounded like it was a few of them. So I climbed up high. So I climbed up high.

Thinking it was a pack of animals and I definitely didn't want trouble with something like that. But my Geiger counter started going off. As the sounds of footsteps got closer, I saw a mass of black fur walk under where I was hiding. And that thing made my Geiger counter, and it looked up at me and regarded me. Like, checking to see if I was good enough to hunt. So I looked back. I swallowed my fear. And it seemed amused. And it seemed amused. Its tail wagged back and forth. Like, my attempt at bravery was the best joke it had ever heard.

The massive beast sat down below where my attempted hiding spot was, knowing I would have to come out eventually. And the thing had all the time in the world. I took up my camera. I waited patiently to see whatever would happen, and eventually I got bored. And took a photo of it, the flash from my camera seeming to stun it. I wasted no time. Pepper spraying the creature and swinging down and running away as fast as I could. Unfortunately, I ran in the opposite direction of the exit. I didn't realize until I heard the thing roar in anger. How horribly fucked I was. I kept running until the Geiger counter was silent by then. I had climbed at least two floors. was silent by then? I had climbed at least 2 floors. I tried the windows, but they were barred. Although jumping out the window and breaking my leg when there's a predator on the loose wouldn't be the best idea.

I took a deep breath and went through my backpack. Just take stock of what I had. Then I got an idea; I sprayed a perfume. I accidentally left it in my bag. Around the area, the thing was vaguely dog-shaped and had a big nose. It could probably smell me. I think they knew I was there the whole time. I lit a small fire. On the opposite side of the room before hiding under a table, my Geiger counter started beeping out of control, and I threw it across the room. Before the giant black thing climbed up the stairs, its first instinct was to put out the fire with black ichor that dripped from its mouth, and it shimmered like gasoline. It was almost hypnotizing, but I snuck down the stairs. But I accidentally stepped on the glass. And that thing heard me. And started chasing after me. I knew I had to find a way out before it caught up to me because I don't think I would be so lucky. A second time I dropped my bag and chamid through some collapsed walls. Thinking it was too big to get to me, and I was right for five minutes before it started to melt with difficulty. It's led me through the cracks, through the tight squeeze. I saw a window. The bars were broken, and I kicked through what remained. And jumped out, scratching my forearm and stomach. But that was the least of my worries. So is that looking back?I ran and I ran until I got out of the woods. And into my car and I didn't look back.

My first experience with domestic abuse

When I was in middle school, I had a bad habit of staying up really late. And it was winter break. So I was watching videos on Krampus because I fell in love with a movie from my dad's collection, and then I heard a scream, and like every horror movie cliché ever, I ran outside, and I saw a man screaming and hitting a car, making it stranding a young woman. I did the only thing I could and let the woman and her dog inside. The man's scream at me told me that this woman was on drugs, and he tried to get me not to let it hurt. I threatened to call the cops if he got any closer to my house, which seemed to get him to stop. So I let the woman stay inside until she could get her friend. Apparently the man was her ex, whom she tried to maintain a relationship with because she was pregnant.
