I know some stays will use the excuse of “it was a surprise pre release” but if this were any other group, we know that stays would’ve dragged the shit out of them with no remorse.

Even if wasn’t a surprise, I don’t think it would’ve lasted that long anyway. The song is boring and corny. I’ve never been the biggest fan skz music, but I could at least understand why people liked their older stuff, but their recent music has been especially bad.

Stays always like to pretend that they’re not toxic like other fandoms, but this whole situation shows just how toxic they are. Instead of listening to faves words, they’d rather continue hating on a group of women who’ve never done anything to them, rather than just condemning the other groups fandom.

These are the same people who say they care so much about skz and Chan, and yet they’re willing to throw him under the bus the moment he supports a group that they don’t like. This situation really just shows that their hatred for another group is bigger than their “love” of skz.

I’ve been very critical of Chan’s weird parasocial behavior, but at the very least in this instance I will applaud that called he out his own fans toxicity, which is very rare in the kpop industry, although I also still believe that this parasocial toxicity wouldn’t have happened if he himself wasn’t so parasocial

Stays always try to push this narrative that skz are this perfect “rags to riches” story, how they the were these “undogs” who “came from nothing” and never got any promotion from jyp and were never supported by their seniors, when that’s the farthest thing from the truth. Not only were they very publicly supported by their seniors, but also the group was literally formed on a contest show, and they were heavily marketed in the US even during their debut era, they also participated in another contest show, and also under one of the biggest record companies in kpop.

Even Chan himself has said that his seniors were responsible for him debuting, but stays still try to act like skz were some poor little nugu group who came from the gutter.
