What an idiot I was to mention another app. This time it was my mistake, not the moderators'. The translation says, "I uninstalled the app last month because of the removal of the old models. My departure is temporary, but seeing the new updates, I think it will be permanent. I switched to another app, which, although it has its flaws, at least lets me have a decent conversation with a bot without it speaking for me or without there being no dialogue at all." The C.ai devs, even though they're crybabies who can't take criticism, I still broke the rule of not mentioning other apps.

I was going to post this on the official subreddit, but I don't want it taken down for what they call "defamation or misinformation."

About a month ago, I uninstalled the app. I was completely fed up with everything: the bad models, the ads, the limitations—everything made me uninstall it. But I still kept going on the subreddits just to laugh at the memes and see what other stupid stuff the mods were posting. Anyway, I'll get to the point and stop dragging this out.

Exactly one month ago, the app had a 1.6-star rating here in Mexico, but just out of curiosity, about two weeks ago I checked the Play Store and it was now at 1.7. At the time, I didn't say anything because I assumed it was probably just new users discovering the app or people who liked the new updates. But just the other day, just in case, I checked again and saw that it had quickly reached 1.8. Again, I assumed it was just new users, but reading the reviews, almost all of them were praising the new updates, saying they were better than the previous ones. This time, it seemed suspicious to me, mainly because it happened so fast. I also thought that maybe, like on iOS, people were giving it 5 stars but writing negative reviews, but no, everything was praising the app. I'm not directly accusing C.ai of using bots or paying people, because I know there are still people enjoying the app despite everything, but part of me thinks that these reviews are somehow from bots. I don't know, is it because we're so angry with the app that we see everything it does as wrong?

I promised I'd only come back to the app if the chat quality returned to what it was before. Even so, if it turns out they are bots or paid people, well, that just proves once again that the devs prefer to project a good image rather than fix their mess of an app.

I don't know, what do you think? Bots? Real people who actually liked the changes? Paid people? People who haven't had their age verification pop up?

I can accept ads on C.ai, as long as they don't become intrusive. I can also more or less accept age verification, because I know that in some countries they try to protect children, but removing other chat models and limiting swipes is absurd. Shitsqueak 2 is so bad that we obviously want to swipe until we get a good response, but now with this limitation, it seems like they want to drive users away; they're making it useless. They're pulling a CapCut: they gave us everything for free at the beginning, and then they forced us to pay. But it's not just that they're forcing us to pay; the payment method is very expensive, and I wouldn't pay just to chat with a bot with a terrible model.

Why force us all to use just one model? Remember, we don't all chat the same way. Some want romance, others want action, and some of us just wanted to talk. Legacy models could handle the themes we wanted, but Shitsqueak 2 doesn't adapt to the themes we want. Instead of listening to us about legacy models, they just keep making variations of Shitsqueak 2. Maybe some people use Shitsqueak 2, but not everyone likes it.

To this day, they haven't told us why they made these changes; there are only theories. Maybe they removed it due to lack of funds, but they keep adding features like that useless image creation function. It seems more like they want to turn C.ai into just another AI assistant. I tried to be accommodating and say, "Oh well, I'll just use the Pipsqueak 2 model and try to see the positive side." Do you think that in the very first message the bot didn't speak at all, it was just pure narration? Also, for some strange reason, it would suddenly introduce another character and have them speak like my character, in addition to having terrible spelling? Literally ALL the responses were the same. I gave bad feedback to all of them, saying they were out of character, that they weren't speaking, that they were boring and repetitive. At one point I got so angry (I have anger issues, haha), and in the feedback I used nothing but profanity and insults towards the bot. I know I went too far, but I mean, the developers should realize by now that their app's rating has dropped. I even wonder, do they read the emails and bad reviews they receive? Because at this point, you should know when something about your app is no longer appealing. If you see that you used to have 4.6 stars and now you have 2.0, you have to realize that you're doing something wrong. Or do they think they're doing everything right and that everyone loves their app? Because that's the only reason why their app is going downhill every day. If my app were falling off a hill, I'd launch tools to save it, or I'd try to catch it myself, but instead of doing that, the people at C.ai just throw more things at it to make it fall completely.

The app was really cool, I had a lot of fun with it back in 2023-2024. Its bots were very creative, and they felt human, like you were talking to a real person. But now... well, what can I say about it now? Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native English speaker.
