Are shorts value investments in these times?

I don't want to be misunderstood, so don't stay in the title.

Huge IPOs are on the way, and it is impossible that's the market will be injecting that amount of fresh cash to the market, so there will be a bunch of stocks that will suffer during this capital rotation.

Are y'all considering to short something as preparation? What are your bets?

The link between endless wars, debt, and inflation is not a coincidence (oil price is not the only problem).

The loss of purchasing power we are seeing is a direct macroeconomic cycle. Governments spends massive amounts on rearmament and endless wars, directing capital into military assets that do not enter the civilian market.

They cannot fund this solely through direct taxes without crashing the economy, so they issue massive sovereign debt. When private markets cannot absorb it, central banks monetize this debt by creating fiat currency, expanding the money supply directly.

Simultaneously, wars destroys infrastructure and disrupt supply chains, causing severe supply shocks in energy and raw materials. This results in an expanding money supply chasing a restricted or stagnant supply of goods. Structural inflation occurs. Nominal prices rise faster than wages, permanently eroding purchasing power. It is a documented cycle of state financing through an inflation tax.
