I found the ultimate thrift store cat. I went to a local thrift store today with my mom. Just as we were checking out, a woman came in with this tiny gray fluff ball. She said she was looking for a home for him, after her cat escaped and got pregnant. Well, obviously I had to take him. She was also looking for a home for his brother, who was back at her place. So, of course I said I wanted him too. Brother will be acquired tomorrow. Once I meet the brother (who apparently looks just like this guy) I'll pick names. (Also, tomorrow is my birthday and this is the best unexpected birthday gift ever). Anyways, I declare myself the ultimate thrift store cat winner.

I made a quilt for the first time ever! It was also my first time really using a sewing machine. It's definitely wonky and imperfect but I think it came out decently! I'll probably add bias tape and backing later, but I wanted to at least get the main part done in time for my mom's birthday.

Apparently this was the name of the first emperor. His middle name is also the name of the evil tribe he belonged to.
