The pillows came home with me for $5 (on 50% off day) 🥰 These were all from the same estate sale, and there were still more cat items than I could remember to capture! Surprisingly, the house still didn’t give me a “crazy cat lady” vibe. There were plenty of non-cat-themed items. Cats were definitely her thing, though!
Been wanting to go to this thrift store that also houses, fosters, adopts out rescued kittys. It's in Frederick Maryland and it's called Fetch Thrift Shop. I found out about it right before moving to New Mexico, but I've been back visiting this past week and finally got to go with my best cat loving thrift peoples. So here are some pictures of the kittens and the cats and releases.
So I guess most of the cats have found warm places to curl up. In other words, not much to see this weekend. But I still found a few. No AI this time, though.
Found this one at an antiques mall outside of Waco, Texas. He was so unique, I had to get him. The cashier said it was kind of creepy, but I think he's cute. Reminds me of old Japanese woodblock art cats. The brand is Hotta Yu Shoten & Co. which apparently with the hand painted in Japan stamp, makes my observation pretty spot on! Couldn't find out much about it other than it is likely from the 1920s or 1930s.
My husband and I visited a new (to us) antique stop today. It's definitely going on my list of favorites, even if it's a bit pricey. They had so much good stuff.
Didn’t get her, but I’m regretting it
The hardback (photo 2) came home with me, the Garfield tee was too big for me sadly. My cat is handsome on my Laurel Birch blanket. Enjoy 😻
Pic 1 was at an estate sale and #2 was at a thrift store. I needed them both.
The little wooden one in the last picture came home with me. It was $4 ☺️
I found the ultimate thrift store cat. I went to a local thrift store today with my mom. Just as we were checking out, a woman came in with this tiny gray fluff ball. She said she was looking for a home for him, after her cat escaped and got pregnant. Well, obviously I had to take him. She was also looking for a home for his brother, who was back at her place. So, of course I said I wanted him too. Brother will be acquired tomorrow. Once I meet the brother (who apparently looks just like this guy) I'll pick names. (Also, tomorrow is my birthday and this is the best unexpected birthday gift ever). Anyways, I declare myself the ultimate thrift store cat winner.
