Was gifted this lamp

Forgot to put something in the pics for scale - the lamp is 16” tall. I’ve never seen anything like it. Was told it was Fenton but unsure how old. Just wanted to share its uniqueness!

Another estate sale today

I found the bowls buried in a box of junk glass and my husband wanted the blue bottles. Hardly anything at this outdoor sale was priced. Took it to the cashier and she said how about $20 for the whole bunch. Done.

Wasn’t really into glassware…

…until I bought the Fenton cat in pic 1, it was a birthday present to myself earlier this year. The rest of the pics are things I’ve bought since then. I seem to have been sucked into the world of glass collecting. And I’ve loved seeing everyone’s treasures on this sub!

Advice on retirement location

There’s a town that I visit often, even though it’s several hours from home. I love this town. I love its scenic beauty, climate, outdoor recreation, and the very kind locals. They have so many year-round community events, I often time my visits to experience their street music nights. Unlike all the many places I’ve vacationed, leaving here makes me sad to return home.
So my question. Financial considerations aside, do you choose to retire in a place that you love? Or do you need to be more practical, choosing somewhere with top notch medical care? I’m very healthy now but know that can change in an instant. The town I described has a level 2 hospital, but for specialists, residents travel 3 hours away. Is it foolish to want to live there regardless of this issue?
