Charles Booker’s Vision for Kentucky Is About Humanity, Not Division”

Whether you agree with Charles Booker politically or not, this article offers an interesting perspective on how he views representation in Kentucky. Rather than focusing solely on party identity, Booker speaks heavily about shared struggles across rural communities, cities, working-class families, healthcare access, economic hardship, and the feeling many Kentuckians have that they are no longer truly heard by those in power.

What stands out most is his emphasis on dignity, humanity, and the idea that communities often portrayed as divided may actually have more in common than people realize. The article gives insight into why his message resonates with many voters who feel politically disconnected, regardless of political affiliation.

A 10-year-old wrote a letter about climate change and electric vehicles as part of a school homework assignment. The response from Representative Virginia Foxx (North Carolina) was pure bitterness.

A member of Congress someone entrusted with leadership, professionalism, and public service chose to treat a fourth grader’s curiosity as an opportunity for political grandstanding. Regardless of anyone’s opinions on EVs, climate policy, or energy infrastructure, there is something deeply inappropriate about an adult politician speaking to a child with open contempt simply because the child expressed concern for the future.

Virginia Foxx has received campaign contributions connected to oil and gas interests throughout her political career. That does not prove corruption on its own, but it absolutely helps explain why a child innocently discusses climate change and electric vehicles was treated like a political opponent instead of a child.
